Nikita Kucherov Remains Out Sunday

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov (illness) will miss a second consecutive game on Sunday against the Nashville Predators, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports. The Art Ross Trophy contender is battling an illness and was a late scratch on Saturday against Ottawa. Nicholas Paul (illness) also didn't play against the Senators, forcing Tampa Bay into a major reshuffle up front. Gage Goncalves filled in for Kucherov on the first line, recording one assist. He will have an expanded role again on Sunday and looks like a good fantasy option, having averaged nearly a point per game this month.

Nikita Kucherov Takes Over Scoring Lead With Four-Point Effort

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov dominated against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night, producing two goals and two assists in a 5-2 road win. The former MVP made a mark in all situations, surpassing McDavid to take the NHL's scoring lead. Kucherov moved two points ahead of the Oilers captain and boasts 118 points (40 goals, 78 assists) in 64 games. In 2026, no one has come close to Kucherov in scoring, as he's managed 67 points (22 goals, 45 assists) in 29 outings. No other player has even reached 50 points since the turn of the year. This hot run of form makes Kucherov the favorite for the Art Ross Trophy, which he also won in 2019, 2024, and 2025.

Nikita Kucherov Amasses Five Points in Road Win

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov was unstoppable on Tuesday night against the Seattle Kraken, scoring a hat trick and adding two assists in a 6-2 road win. Playing alongside him on the top line, Brandon Hagel finished with four points (one goal, three assists), and Anthony Cirelli had three points (one goal, two assists). This was Kucherov's second five-point effort of the season and the ninth of his career. Jari Kurri (16) and Peter Stastny (12) are the only players born outside North America to record more five-point games in NHL history. At the same time, Kucherov became only the seventh player to post four straight 110-point seasons. The former MVP has totaled 111 points (37 goals, 74 assists) in 62 appearances as he continues to chase his third consecutive Art Ross Trophy.

Kucherov has been incredible in 2026, amassing 43 points (12 goals, 31 assists) in 17 games. He has jumped to second on the league's scoring list, tallying 94 points (30 goals, 64 assists) in 52 outings this season.

Nikita Kucherov Tallies Four Points in Stadium Series Win

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov missed tying the NHL record for most points in an outdoor game by just a single point on Sunday in a Stadium Series contest, recording one goal and three assists in a 6-5 shootout victory over Boston. Kucherov was feeling it all game, firing eight shots on goal. While he only got one puck past Jeremy Swayman in the Bruins' net, it was a vital goal in the third period, which extended the game. Two of Kucherov's assists came on the power play, helping the Lightning erase a 5-1 deficit. Kucherov has been producing silly numbers in recent weeks, finishing 15 of 18 outings with multiple points. This stretch includes six games with at least three points. As a result, the Russian star has started to sneak into Art Ross Trophy contention as the NHL's leading scorer. He has totaled 86 points (28 goals, 58 assists) in 49 games.

During the hot streak, he has totaled seven goals and 10 assists. Nikita Kucherov a Game-Time Call Saturday

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov (illness) is a game-time decision for Saturday's tilt against the Carolina Hurricanes. On Thursday, Kucherov was a late scratch for a meeting with the Los Angeles Kings. He has been dealing with an illness and didn't skate on Saturday morning. Kucherov has once again been a scoring machine with the Lightning, notching 42 points (13 goals, 29 assists) in 30 outings. Brandon Hagel (upper body) has already been ruled out for Saturday, giving Gage Goncalves a top-six job. However, he has limited fantasy value, producing seven points (two goals, five assists) in 30 appearances this season.

Nikita Kucherov Out on Saturday

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov (undisclosed) won't play on Saturday against the New York Islanders. The three-time NHL scoring leader is dealing with an undisclosed injury, which will keep him sidelined for a third time this season. Kucherov has enjoyed a couple of huge weeks, taking up a position once again among the NHL's highest scorers. He has registered 34 points (12 goals, 22 assists) in 25 games. Brayden Point (undisclosed), who has missed six games, is questionable for Saturday's matchup, so Tampa Bay may be without two huge top-six pieces. Kucherov is considered day-to-day, and his first chance to return to action will come on Monday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov (undisclosed) was limited to a handful of minutes on Saturday night against the Washington Capitals. The former MVP had a monster start in the contest, racking up a goal and two assists, but he was hurt early in the second period. Kucherov exited the action after a hard hit from Capitals forward Tom Wilson. On Saturday, Kucherov had at least one point in a fifth consecutive game, taking his overall tally to 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) through 19 outings. He has recovered well from a slow start to the season. However, the Russian superstar may now have to spend some time on the sidelines due to injury.

Nikita Kucherov Lifts Lightning Past Golden Knights

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov played a pivotal role in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Vegas Golden Knights, recording three third-period points. The teams entered the final frame tied at two before Kucherov racked up two goals and one assist. He posted at least three points in a single period for the 27th time in his career, ranking only below Connor McDavid (28) among active players. This season, Kucherov has struggled for consistency, but his scoring rate has still been high. With 12 games played, the Russian superstar has produced seven goals and 14 points. He's had multiple points in almost half of his outings (5).

Nikita Kucherov Set to Return Against Blackhawks

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov (illness) is expected to rejoin the lineup for Thursday's tilt against the Chicago Blackhawks. The back-to-back Art Ross Trophy winner has missed a pair of games due to illness, but he returned to practice earlier in the week. On Wednesday, Kucherov skated with Brandon Hagel and Anthony Cirelli. Kucherov has experienced some early-season struggles, and it looks like Lightning head coach Jon Cooper wants to try to get him going with a new pair of linemates. In four appearances this season, Kucherov has been limited to three points (one goal, two assists), and he holds a minus-eight rating.

Nikita Kucherov Struck by Illness

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov missed Friday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Detroit Red Wings due to illness. He was a late scratch for the contest, with Jack Finley stepping into the lineup. Gage Goncalves moved up to the first line. The Lightning clearly missed Kucherov, as they were almost shut out in the contest. There's no time off for the team, with a matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets coming up on Saturday, and fantasy managers should consider Kucherov questionable for the clash. Goncalves, who has logged three assists in five games this season, could see increased usage again if Kucherov remains out.

This marks Kucherov's third consecutive season with at least 100 points, as the 31-year-old continues to make scoring seem effortless. Nikita Kucherov Records Three Assists In Game 3 Win

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov recorded three assists in Saturday's 5-1 victory against the Florida Panthers. The Lightning desperately needed a road win to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole in the series, and one of their leaders stepped up big time in the contest. Kucherov had managed only one point -- a power-play assist -- in the first two games of the matchup. He now holds 11 career postseason games with three or more helpers, ranking third all-time behind Wayne Gretzky (28) and Mark Messier (12). When Kucherov is in form, the Lightning perform well, and the team will hope he can sustain his productivity for the rest of the way.

Nikita Kucherov Tallies Three Points On Sunday

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov tallied three points during their 7-4 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday evening. Kucherov found the back of the net in the second period during 5-on-5 play. Later in the third, Kucherov would score his second goal of the contest and add the primary helper on Jake Guentzel's power-play goal. These three points put Kucherov in the driver's seat to win the Art Ross Trophy as Nathan MacKinnon, who holds the No. 2 spot, has been ruled out for the remainder of the regular season. Kucherov has enjoyed an impressive conclusion to the season, tallying 21 points (six goals) over his last 10 contests. Kucherov remains a must-start option in all formats in their final two games of the campaign.
