He had a very impressive campaign in the AHL with the Syracuse Crunch, going for 51 points (13 goals, 38 assists) in 50 outings. The 27-year-old has made just 21 career appearances in the NHL, but the Lightning clearly have faith in his ability to contribute by locking him up with an early extension.
