Brandon Duhaime News
The Colorado Avalanche have acquired forward Brandon Duhaime from the Minnesota Wild. The return on the deal has yet to be disclosed. The 26-year-old has appeared in all 62 games for the Wild this season, recording four goals and eight points on 68 shots while averaging 10:41 of ice time per game. He is in his third NHL season and has accumulated 19 goals and 35 points across 193 games played after the Wild selected him in the fourth round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. The Wild appear to be deadline sellers as they sit nine points back of the Nashville Predators for the second and final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference with three teams between them and the Preds.
Minnesota Wild winger Brandon Duhaime has agreed terms on a one-year contract extension, receiving a deal worth $1.1 million. The deal ensures that Minnesota avoids arbitration with the 26-year-old. Duhaime is a hard-working winger who made it into the NHL just two seasons ago. He's not much of a scorer and has posted only 27 points in 131 regular-season appearances, but the Coral Springs, Florida native brings a lot of tenacity to the team and the Wild will be very happy to have retained his services for a reasonable price.
Minnesota Wild winger Brandon Duhaime suffered an undisclosed injury in Wednesday's win over Winnipeg and likely won't play in Friday's matchup versus Toronto. The 25-year-old missed the whole third period against the Jets, finishing the night with a plus-one rating, two penalty minutes and three hits in 8:36 of ice time. This was only the fourth game back from an upper-body problem for Brandon Duhaime, so he will be cursing his bad luck after suffering another injury. Duhaime doesn't play a lot for Minnesota, but he has been able to help the team out at both ends of the ice, producing three goals and four points with 40 hits in 14 outings.
Minnesota Wild winger Brandon Duhaime (upper body) will rejoin the lineup Tuesday night versus Nashville. He will be back in action after sitting out five games with an upper-body issue. Duhaime showed off some impressive form before getting hurt, posting two goals and three points across 10 games in limited minutes. He mostly brings the muscle for Minnesota, having averaged 2.5 hits per game. Duhaime will start off on the fourth line, but he could be used across the lineup, with the team short of quality in attack due to injuries to Ryan Hartman (upper body) and Jordan Greenway (upper body).
