Toronto Maple Leafs winger Steven Lorentz (upper body) will be sidelined for Tuesday's clash against the Nashville Predators. He will miss a second consecutive game after being hurt in Saturday's contest against the Detroit Red Wings. Easton Cowan entered the lineup as Lorentz's replacement for Monday's rematch against Detroit and will have another chance to impress on Tuesday night. Cowan finished his NHL debut on Monday with one shot on goal and three hits across 14:05 of ice time. On Tuesday, Cowan is expected to continue skating with Matthew Knies and Auston Matthews on the first line, making him an appealing fantasy option.

He was hurt early into the game but wasn't ruled out for the contest until the third period. Lorentz appeared to have suffered an upper-body injury on a hit by Red Wings defenseman Ben Chiarot. While Lorentz is somewhat limited offensively, he started this season well, recording two assists in Wednesday's 5-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens. Lorentz's injury could give highly rated Easton Cowan a chance to make his NHL debut on Monday when Toronto and Detroit meet up for a rematch.

Lorentz has had a limited role with the Maple Leafs, averaging 10:25 of ice time, but he has been impactful. In 59 outings, Lorentz has chipped in with five goals and nine assists while handing out 148 hits. Two of his goals have been game-winning markers. Connor Dewar will head to the press box to make room for Lorentz.
