Max Domi News
Dallas Stars forward Max Domi is hoping to remain with the team next season. The Stars acquired Domi from Chicago back in March, giving the 28-year-old his fourth team in two seasons, and he's been happy to move around, but the pending unrestricted free agent has told reporters that he is now hoping to settle down in Texas. "I've been one of those people that have been signing shorter term deals, which gives you the opportunity to move around a little bit at the [trade] deadline here and there, but maybe getting some more security and stability would be something that I'm hoping to do," Domi said. "And listen: I hope that's here." Domi has played for six different NHL teams in total in just eight seasons. He initially struggled to make an impact in Dallas but had a decent postseason run with the team, recording 13 points in 19 games.
Dallas Stars forward Max Domi notched a game-high three points in Tuesday's 6-3 victory over Seattle. He scored two goals and had an assist, reaching 10 points for the postseason. Only two players have had more points through their first 10 playoff games with the team since the franchise moved to Dallas in 1993-94. All of Domi's points have come in the last six games, and he now has two separate three-point performances in the series against Seattle. The versatile forward has enjoyed a great run of form and didn't even need Joe Pavelski on his line to shine Tuesday.
Dallas Stars forward Max Domi enjoyed the ride with Joe Pavelski in Tuesday's Game 1 loss to the Kraken, racking up three assists as his linemate notched four goals in a 5-4 overtime loss. The hat trick of helpers doubled Domi's points tally for the 2023 postseason. He had an awful start offensively to the playoffs, but all of Domi's six points have come in the past three games, and with Pavelski next to him, the 28-year-old finds himself in a superb position to add to his account in the upcoming games.
The Dallas Stars acquired forward Max Domi from the Chicago Blackhawks in a trade Thursday night. Chicago received goaltender Anton Khudobin and a second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft for Domi and goalie prospect Dylan Wells. The 28-year-old left Chi-town as the team's leading scorer, having produced 49 points across 60 games for the Blackhawks. He recently enjoyed a three-point night against the Stars and completed his stint in Chicago with a run of 14 points in eight games. Domi has been working as a first-liner for the Blackhawks but will have to settle for a middle-six role in Dallas, which will slow him down scoring-wise.
