Nashville Predators center Colton Sissons scored his fifth goal of the season in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to Vancouver. He and Dante Fabbro turned a deficit into a first-period lead, but the Canucks shook off the Predators with Elias Pettersson leading the way with a hat trick. Sissons started the season with a run of three goals in three games, and impressively, four of his five strikes have come during even-strength play. He's logging third-line minutes, and it's highly unlikely he will maintain his current scoring rate for the rest of the campaign, but it's been great to see the nine-year veteran have success in front of goal. Sissons had 12 markers a season ago, and his career-high stands at 15 goals.
Colton Sissons Continues Good Run With Short-Handed Assist
Nashville Predators forward Colton Sissons registered a short-handed assist in Thursday's 4-1 loss to Carolina, extending his point streak to three games. Erik Haula scored the goal. Sissons is a fourth-liner for the Predators, but he's actually been one of the most productive players on the team this month, collecting seven points in eight games. He had just five points for the year at the start of April. Sissons has provided very good depth scoring at a vital time for the team as Nashville has lost multiple forwards through injury. The 27-year-old carries some fantasy value in deep formats and in DFS competitions as the Predators chase a playoff spot.
