Yegor Sharangovich News
Calgary Flames forward Yegor Sharangovich had a career night against Tampa Bay on Thursday, setting his new single-game scoring record in a 6-3 win with four points. He fired in two goals at the start of the second period and had two assists. The Belarus native has been very prolific in front of goal lately, lighting the lamp five times across his past four outings. It's given him 25 goals for the season, which marks a new career high for Sharangovich. Having added 20 assists to his total through 62 outings, the 25-year-old needs just two more points to also set his new overall scoring record for a season. He's had a great year in Calgary, and based on recent form, it looks like Sharangovich is ready to have a big finish to the campaign.
Calgary Flames forward Yegor Sharangovich has signed a two-year extension with the club after coming over from New Jersey in a trade. The 25-year-old was a pending restricted free agent but now has a fresh $6.2 million contract in his bag that carries a $3.1 million cap hit. Sharangovich had a quiet year in 2022-23 with 30 points in 75 games, but he has been averaging around 0.50 points per game in his career and will look to compete for a top-six spot next season.
The Calgary Flames have acquired forward Yegor Sharangovich in a trade with the New Jersey Devils. Calgary departed with Tyler Toffoli in the deal, getting Sharangovich and the 80th pick in the 2023 draft in return. Sharangovich is coming off a two-year, $4 million deal and is a pending restricted free agent. The 25-year-old will be looking to produce a bounce-back season in 2023-24 after settling for only 30 points in 75 games last term. He had a career-best campaign with 24 goals and 46 points just two seasons ago, and the Flames will definitely hope to see him get back to the same level.
New Jersey Devils forward Yegor Sharangovich (undisclosed) will be in the lineup on Thursday against Montreal. He made a very early exit on Tuesday against the Rangers after getting hurt in a fight but was at the morning skate and looks good to go. Sharangovich has enjoyed a nice season with 20 goals and 20 assists in 64 appearances. He scored against the Rangers and also recently notched his first career hat trick, so the 23-year-old should be full of confidence right now. He'll link up with Nico Hischier and Jesper Bratt on the first line Thursday.
