Joel Farabee News
Philadelphia Flyers forward Joel Farabee (neck) has been fully cleared for contact and looks set to be in the lineup on Oct. 13 when the team opens its season against New Jersey. Farabee had disc-replacement surgery in his cervical region back in June and missed the preseason. The 22-year-old mostly struggled in 2021-22, but he's shown plenty of upside and has registered 93 points in 170 career games. Farabee will be a very welcome addition for the Flyers, with Sean Couturier (back) out for a minimum of six weeks. Cam Atkinson (upper body) has also missed practice time this week but should be ready for the season opener.
Philadelphia Flyers forward Joel Farabee appears ready to return to action on Tuesday against Washington after sitting out one game with an illness. He was rolling with Kevin Hayes and Cam Atkinson on the first line at Monday's practice. The 22-year-old has struggled for consistency after signing a big $30 million contract in September and boasts only 33 points through 53 games this season. However, Farabee tallied 13 points across March, so he has improved his form significantly ahead of the final few weeks of the season and there are 10 more games still to come for him to boost his numbers.
Philadelphia Flyers forward Joel Farabee isn't feeling well and will miss Saturday's game against Anaheim with an illness. The team has called up Hayden Hodgson from the AHL to make up the numbers for the game. Farabee has had a rough start to April, but he enjoyed a nice run last month with 13 points to give his tally a nice boost. He's now on 33 points in 53 games with only a few weeks remaining of the season. Following Saturday's outing, the Flyers will be off until Tuesday, so Farabee will get some good time to rest up and he might be ready for the next game.
Philadelphia Flyers left-winger Joel Farabee scored a goal and added an assist on Saturday against the Los Angeles Kings. The winger opened Philadelphia's scoring 13 minutes into the first period as he and Cam Atkinson teamed up on a goal Jonathan Quick had no chance on. Farabee later added a helper on Ivan Provorov's third period goal with 3:59 remaining in regulation. That gave the winger 14 points in 25 games this season and five in the previous 5+ contests. Despite missing a couple weeks to injury in this span, Farabee is starting to look like the consistent scoring threat from last season and should blow past his career high of 38 points set last year.
