DFS NBA Picks for Wednesday the 1st

DFS NBA Picks

After a small three-game slate last night, we get a robust 13-game slate tonight. This is NBA fandom heaven. With the amount of games being played tonight, there will be a ton of options for DFS picks. The NBA is starting to kick it into full gear and we are ready to make some money now.

For the DFS projections and pricing, we will be using Fanduel and DraftKings.

NBA Quick Links

Point Guard

Dejounte Murray (FD: $8,300, DK: $7,300): After breaking out with a 40-point game the other night, expect Dejounte Murray to have another great game. There are two reasons why Murray should be amazing tonight. One is that Trae Young most likely will not play tonight due to an Achilles injury. That would lead Murray to be the primary ball-handler and go-to guy for the game. The other reason is that they are going against a lowly Washington Wizards team.

Malcolm Brogdon (FD: $5,900, DK: $5,700): Malcolm Brogdon is a player who consistently falls under the radar. That is going to be the case even more so, while he is on the rebuilding Portland Trail Blazers. However, Brogdon has been a nice contributor thus far. The loss of Anfernee Simons has opened up more opportunities for Brogdon, who has now amassed over 30 fantasy points in his last two games.

Shooting Guard

Cam Thomas (FD: $7,800, DK: $6,600): You may not be a believer in Cam Thomas being able to maintain this scoring pace, but until that day comes we have to ride the hot hand. Thomas has dropped 30 plus points in each of the first three games of the season. The young guard is going to shoot, and as of right now, those shots are falling. The Miami Heat are a tough team, but Thomas has been on fire and to grab him for less than $8,000 is a steal.

Bogdan Bogdanovic (FD: $5,100, DK: $4,600): I spoke on it with Dejounte Murray, but there is a good chance the Atlanta Hawks will be without Trae Young. That means more looks will be available. Bogdan Bogdanovic can be a big beneficiary of the uptick in looks. The Washington Wizards are an awful defense and allow an immense amount of threes. Bogdan has not made less than two threes since the first game of the season. I expect him to hit a few threes and make some noise tonight.

Small Forward

Desmond Bane (FD: $8,700): The Memphis Grizzlies are in a dire situation. They are 0-4 and injuries are decimating them. Then there is the fact that their franchise player, Ja Morant, still has over 20 games left on his suspension. Desmond Bane has been one of the bright spots for this Grizzlies team so far in the season. Outside of the game against the Denver Nuggets, Bane has hit 35+ fantasy points. Tonight is a must win for the Grizzlies and I expect Bane to be amazing.

Alec Burks (DK: $4,600): Alec Burks was not thought to be a key player for the Detroit Pistons, but he somehow has become an important player on this young squad. Burks has been a knockdown shooter, which was evident with his six threes barrage the other night against the Chicago Bulls. He has now collected at least 25 fantasy points over his last three games. Burks is a super cheap option that can be a winner for DFS tonight.

Power Forward

Lauri Markkanen (FD: $8,600, DK: $8,400): The Reigning Most Improved Player winner, Lauri Markkanen, is replicating the same success from last season. He is maintaining a 25 points per game average with almost 10 rebounds per game. Markkanen has been a force, despite the Utah Jazz not finding the team success early on. Regardless of the Jazz struggling, Markkanen is going to put up his numbers.

Aaron Gordon (FD: $6,100, DK: $6,300): Aaron Gordon is just a consistent player. Throughout the first four games, Gordon has not had less than 23 points. He is going to get some rebounds, get some blocks or steals, and get some easy dunks from Nikola Jokic. Gordon is the perfect option to have for a cheaper option in DFS due to his consistency.

Center

Alperen Sengun (FD: $8,200, DK: $7,700): The Houston Rockets have tons of young players, but there is a case that their best player is Alperen Sengun. He plays like a miniature version of Jokic. The passing, rebounding, and scoring are all there. Sengun is ready for the breakout and it may be happening before our eyes. The Charlotte Hornets are not accompanied by great centers that can stop Sengun. Also, the wings on the Rockets can be cutting at will against this Hornets defense. Sengun might be able to flirt with another triple-double tonight.

Clint Capela (FD: $6,300, DK: $5,700): The Washington Wizards might be without Daniel Gafford once again. Without Gafford, the Wizards do not have another true center that is in the immediate rotation. Clint Capela should feast tonight on the glass. Capela did have a dud in his last game, but I could see a huge rebounding game from Capela with some easy lobs to go with it.
