DFS Picks for Wednesday the 6th

DFS NBA Picks

NBA-Optimizer.webpAfter a couple of nights of the knockout round in the In-Season Tournament, we are back to our regularly scheduled NBA regular season. There are 11 games tonight, which means we have tons of players to work within the DFS lineups.

For the DFS projections and pricing, we will be using FanDuel and DraftKings.

NBA Quick Links

Point Guard

Tyrese Maxey (FD: $9,200, DK: $9,400): Tyrese Maxey has been one of the most improved players this season. His points per game has increased by seven points, while his assists increased by three. The man is a clear-cut All-Star. Tonight’s matchup is very enticing. The Washington Wizards are putrid on defense. In his last game against the Wizards, he put up an easy 22 and 11. Maxey should be able to replicate these numbers and maybe go for more.

Keyonte George (FD: $5,800, DK: $6,700): The Utah Jazz are a bottom tier team this year. However, they are trying to implement some of their new rookies for the future of this organization. Keyonte George is one of those rookies, who is very up-and-down, but is getting the minutes to find his way. The Dallas Mavericks are a very poor defensive team and George could put up some all-around numbers for a cheaper price.

Shooting Guard

Desmond Bane (FD: $8,200, DK: $8,900): This matchup is a battle of two teams in the bottom of the league. The Memphis Grizzlies are lost without Ja Morant, but the Detroit Pistons are lost in general. Desmond Bane is the main guy for the Grizzlies by default. However, he is still putting up good numbers throughout the year. The Pistons are awful and Bane can easily get to 40 fantasy points or more.

Brandon Miller (DK: $5,700): Brandon Miller is one of the better cheap options of the night. The Charlotte Hornets are still missing LaMelo Ball and have a more feed-the-hot-hand approach. Brandon Miller has been consistent most of the season thus far, and he is capable of putting up solid fantasy numbers. For seven straight games, Miller has scored more than 20 fantasy points. At less than $6,000, Miller is a great option.

Small Forward

DeMar DeRozan (FD: $7,700, DK: $8,000): Zach LaVine is still out for the Chicago Bulls, which gives DeMar DeRozan free rein on the perimeter. DeRozan is around a 30 fantasy points per game type of player. You know he is going to be the guy on the Bulls tonight against a mediocre Charlotte Hornets team.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. (FD: $6,400, DK: $6,100): We all know the top two rookies this season, but the third best rookie could possibly be Jaime Jaquez Jr. of the Miami Heat. The Heat might have gotten a steal at the 18th overall pick. Jaquez has been fantastic, especially in the absence of Tyler Herro. Jaquez has had 23+ fantasy points in his last seven games. The rookie has been great and is proving himself with every game. Let’s ride the Jaquez hype train tonight.

Power Forward

Kyle Kuzma (FD: $8,000, DK: $8,500): The Washington Wizards have been awful, but Kyle Kuzma has been one of the few bright spots. Kuzma is the best player on the Wizards and is going to get the numbers needed for DFS lineups. Last time against the Sixers, Kuzma put up a 28-6-4 line. The Wizards will most likely get destroyed, but Kuzma is still going to get his numbers.

Naz Reid (FD: $5,400, DK: $5,100): This is a big risk, but I believe that Naz Reid is going to have a big game off the bench. He was able to drop 23 points off the bench last game and I think that is something that he can replicate. The San Antonio Spurs are bad across the board on defense, while the Minnesota Timberwolves are the best team in the Western Conference as of today. This can turn into a blowout with Reid playing more minutes.

Center

Alperen Sengun (FD & DK: $8,900): Yes, Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid are available. However, Alperen Sengun is about $3,000 cheaper and can put up 50 fantasy points on a great night. The OKC Thunder are a very small team outside of Chet Holmgren but is thin compared to the stronger Sengun. Sengun has been amazing all season and has established himself as the Houston Rockets number one guy. I would recommend taking Sengun over the other top guys and round out the lineup with better players.

Moritz Wagner (FD: $5,100, DK: $5,000): Another great cheaper option is Moritz Wagner. Despite coming off the bench, Wagner has had 20+ fantasy points in four of his last five games. The Cleveland Cavaliers are a good defensive team, but Wagner is a good option at that price.
