Bryce Eldridge Quickly Turning into a Must-Stash Power Bat

San Francisco Giants rookie first baseman Bryce Eldridge could easily be trending towards a second-half breakout in 2026, and he's starting to generate more attention off the waiver wire in fantasy baseball leagues for his elite raw power from the left side of the plate. In 33 games with the Gigantes this year, Eldridge has delivered a .319/.405/.558 slash line, .962 OPS, six home runs, 16 RBI, and 19 runs scored in a small sample size of 131 plate appearances. He debuted with San Fran in 2025, but he appeared in just 10 games. The 21-year-old former 16th overall pick in 2023 is in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak in which he has gone 13-for-31 (.419) with four home runs, two doubles, 10 RBI, and six runs scored in 37 plate appearances. Eldridge went deep in three straight games and has homered in four of his last seven contests after clearing the fences in the team's last game on Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves. The Giants could sell off some major pieces at this year's trade deadline, which could put Eldridge in line for a more prominent role in the Bay Area going forward. Fantasy managers in need of some pop should definitely look Eldridge's way, as he's available in more than half of Yahoo leagues.

Bryce Eldridge Continues to Produce, a Must-Add Option Off the Waiver Wire

San Francisco Giants consensus top-30 MLB prospect Bryce Eldridge, who was called up on May 3, is dominating at the plate of late, slashing .455/.556/.955 with three home runs, eight RBI, and five runs scored over the past seven days (10-for-22). On the season, he is now hitting .317 with a .953 OPS with five home runs, 18 runs scored, and 14 RBI. Most impressively, his plate discipline has been rock-solid for Eldridge, as he has a 21.4 percent strikeout rate, 27.6 percent chase rate, and a 22.1 percent whiff rate. In Triple-A, Eldridge demonstrated his power, but had a 29.9 percent strikeout rate, and that was ultimately the biggest knock on Eldridge: the swing and miss. Considering he has improved on that, and when you look at his quality of contact, power, and prospect pedigree, Eldridge is a must-add player for fantasy baseball. The only downside for him is that, depending on your league format, he may only be DH eligible, but he has played five games at first base, so he is working his way to first base and corner infield eligibility. Eldridge has league-winning upside at the plate, so fantasy managers should act fast and invest in the young slugger.

Bryce Eldridge Emerging as Priority Waiver-Wire Target Ahead of Breakout Season

San Francisco Giants 21-year-old first baseman Bryce Eldridge has flashed strong production in his second year with the club after appearing in just 10 games last year. He is slashing .288/.363/.450 with a .813 OPS across 25 games this season. Eldridge, a first-round pick in the 2023 draft, is the top-ranked prospect in the Giants' system and 17th overall in MLB Pipeline rankings. His 55.2 percent hard-hit rate sits well above league average and points to sustained offensive upside. Fantasy managers should treat him as a priority waiver wire target before he forces his way into everyday lineups and gains wider attention.

Bryce Eldridge Falling Out of Role in Giants Lineup?

San Francisco Giants first baseman Bryce Eldridge has struggled to earn consistent playing time lately, and that trend could continue going forward. Justice delos Santos of The Mercury News reports that Giants president of baseball operations Buster Posey acknowledges Eldridge hasn't been afforded consistent playing time, which could be impacting his ability to get into a routine. When asked if Eldridge could be sent to Triple-A to get more consistent reps, Posey said the team will "just watch what's going on out here and make different decisions as we think they're necessary." That answer doesn't provide much clarity, but it does seem to suggest that Eldridge isn't quite ready for an everyday role in the major leagues. The stats say similar, as the first base prospect is slashing just .143/.226/.250 with one home run, a 9.7% walk rate, a 32.3% strikeout rate, and 28 wRC+ through nine games. His stock is falling in fantasy baseball, and he's now rostered in just 5% of leagues.

Is Bryce Eldridge Worth Targeting on the Waiver Wire Despite Current Struggles?

Since being called up to the big leagues in early May, San Francisco Giants first baseman Bryce Eldridge has struggled to an .083/.185/.208 slash line with one home run, one RBI, and one run scored across 27 plate appearances. Eldridge has struck out in 33.3% of his plate appearances, a recurring issue for him after he struck out in 35.1% of his plate appearances after making his MLB debut in 2025. However, the 21-year-old is considered one of the top hitting prospects in the Giants system and has still only logged 64 career plate appearances at the MLB level. Eldridge got off to an excellent start at Triple-A Sacramento before earning the call, hitting .333/.445/.518 with five home runs and 22 RBI across 137 plate appearances. In deeper leagues, Eldridge could be a worthy high-upside, buy-low candidate for fantasy managers to target on the waiver wire.

Bryce Eldridge to be Involved Every Day

San Francisco Giants manager Tony Vitello said that the plan is to find a pinch-hit opportunity every day that first base prospect Bryce Eldridge doesn't start, according to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports. The Giants will mix him in at first base and designated hitter, too. The team believes that late-game appearances will be good for Eldridge's development, and the bench needs his power. The 21-year-old rookie is starting on the bench for a second straight game in Monday's series opener against the division-rival Los Angeles Dodgers, but we should see the former 16th overall pick in 2023 at some point later in the game as a power bat off the bench. Since being called up recently, Eldridge has just two hits in 16 plate appearances with a solo homer, two walks, and five strikeouts in five games played. He's rostered in only 12% of Yahoo leagues right now, but Eldridge is a fine young player to stash in deeper leagues for his left-handed power stroke, and his playing time should only increase as the year goes on, especially if the Giants trade away some of their big contracts by the deadline this summer.

Bryce Eldridge is a Top Power Source on the Waiver Wire

San Francisco Giants first baseman Bryce Eldridge could be an interesting option for fantasy managers seeking help in the power category. Eldridge was recently called up to The Show after mashing five home runs across 30 games in Triple-A this season. The 21-year-old has smashed 20-plus home runs in each of his last two seasons in the minor leagues. He's a legitimate threat to go deep every at-bat, but he still has a ton of swing-and-miss in his game. Eldridge hit his first career home run on Saturday, but that was only his second hit since receiving the call to the big leagues. Eldridge offers good power upside, but fantasy managers will need to be patient with him.

Giants to Promote No. 1-Ranked Prospect Bryce Eldridge to MLB Roster

The San Francisco Giants are promoting top first base prospect Bryce Eldridge to the major league roster ahead of Monday's contest against the San Diego Padres. Eldridge is considered the team's No. 1-ranked prospect on MLB.com and the overall No. 20 in the sport. Eldridge was in serious consideration to break camp as a first baseman/designated hitter, sharing time with Rafael Devers, but ultimately fell short in the competition. However, Eldridge has enjoyed a productive start to the campaign with Triple-A Sacramento and will earn an early promotion to the majors. Through 30 games with the River Cats this spring, Eldridge has gone deep five times while holding a .333/.445/.518 slash line. Even though Eldridge struggled in his brief MLB stint last season, he is a top target on the waiver wire ahead of his promotion, given his elite raw power upside.

Bryce Eldridge Surging Again, Remains a High-End Stash for Power Upside

San Francisco Giants first base prospect Bryce Eldridge broke out of a week-long slump in a big way over his last four games at Triple-A, going 10-for-18 (.555) with three home runs, nine RBI, and six runs scored over that span. Perhaps most impressive of all is that, after logging just three games without a strikeout over his first 22 contests, the 6-foot-7 slugger has tallied four such outings in the last five games, showcasing how locked in he has been. The Giants' top-ranked prospect is slashing .327/.426/.529 with five home runs through 27 games, and a promotion to the big leagues could come at any time now. Though swing-and-miss will likely continue to be part of his profile, especially at the major league level, along with it should come plenty of power, and the former first-round draft pick remains a top stash option in most fantasy leagues for his home run potential.

Is Bryce Eldridge Still Worth Stashing Amid Power Skid?

San Francisco Giants first-base prospect Bryce Eldridge has hit a bit of a skid at Triple-A but still holds high-end upside in all 12-team formats. Over his last 10 contests at Sacramento, the team's No. 1 hitting prospect has seen his production take a steep decline, as he has held a .189/.250/.216 line with a low .466 OPS. During this stretch, Eldridge has hit just one extra-base hit (a double) while posting a 13:3 K:BB. However, over his first 15 games, Eldridge was swinging a scorching hot bat, carrying a .368/.493/.561 line with five doubles, two home runs, 14 runs, and 11 RBI. Eldridge made his MLB debut last summer but struggled over his brief stint, holding a .476 OPS. While he may be in a bit of a slump at the plate, given San Francisco's lack of proven options at first base and DH outside of Rafael Devers, Eldridge remains a high-end stash option in Week 5.
