Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James Jr. (heel) is on the injury report as doubtful ahead of Tuesday's game against Utah. James last saw NBA action on Nov. 10 versus Toronto, and it looks like he will have to sit out this one due to a bruised heel. In five NBA appearances, James has scored four total points in 16 minutes. He's logged a lot more action in the G League, averaging 28.5 minutes across two outings. Shooting woes have limited him to 5.0 points per game, while James has notched 2.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks in the G League.

Bronny James Helps Lakers To Victory With 12-Point Effort
Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James got going offensively with 12 points on 5-for-11 shooting and helped the team to its first Summer League win on Wednesday against Atlanta. After finishing 0-for-15 from deep in his first four Summer League outings, James shot 2-for-5 from three-point range. He also registered one rebound and one steal in an 87-86 win. It's been a rough ride for James in the Summer League, but Wednesday's performance should give him a confidence boost ahead of the final stretch of Summer League action. He's averaged 5.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.2 steals in 25.2 minutes.

Bronny James Struggles On Friday Night
Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James finished with eight points, five rebounds, and two steals in Friday's Summer League loss to the Houston Rockets. The 19-year-old had another uneventful showing offensively, going 3-for-14 from the field and 0-for-8 from deep. He also had three turnovers. Despite James' offensive struggles, he has shown promise defensively. However, it's evident the 2024 No. 55 overall pick has some work to do, although he will likely get some shots to fall at some point during his time in Vegas.

Bronny James Dealing With An Injury
Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James (knee) didn't suit up for Sunday's California Classic Summer League loss to the Golden State Warriors. The 19-year-old, drafted No. 55 overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, made his unofficial NBA debut on Saturday versus Sacramento. However, he struggled, scoring just four points while shooting 2-for-9 from the field. Fortunately, James is only dealing with "trace swelling" in his left knee, so he was held out for precautionary reasons. He's expected to return to the lineup for the Lakers California Classic finale against the Miami Heat.

Bronny James Likely To Spend Time In The G-League
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James is expected to spend most of the 2024-25 campaign in the G League. "What the Lakers' expectations are is that he'll largely be a G League player, like almost any 19-year-old player coming into the league drafted in the second round," said Wojnarowski. "There's no expectation Bronny James is going to be in the Lakers' rotation." There were reports that James would be inserted into the rotation right away. However, he didn't gain much experience at the collegiate level. In addition, the 2024 No. 55 overall pick suffered a cardiac arrest nearly a year ago, which delayed his development. With that in mind, James is worth stashing in dynasty formats, even though he may be at least a few years away from doing anything meaningful for fantasy managers.
