Brook Lopez News
Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez had a double-double during the Game 7 loss to Boston by finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds. He also got after it defensively by compiling three blocks on the afternoon. He did have a rough time shooting the ball, though, primarily from deep, by draining just one of his six tries. Still, to be fair, nobody on the team did much better on Sunday. Nonetheless, the 34-year-old, who missed most of the year because of back surgery, put in plenty of effort during the series. Hopefully, with some time off to rest, Lopez will remain on the floor next season. However, with his best days likely behind him, he'll probably continue to be a hit-or-miss fantasy option in all formats.
Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez had 17 points during the Game 4 loss to the Boston Celtics on Monday evening. He also added seven rebounds and one block. After undergoing a back procedure that kept him out for a chunk of the regular season, the veteran has been productive, averaging 9.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks throughout this series. He hasn't been shooting it from deep as much. However, he'll likely continue to patrol the paint moving ahead, so he may get additional opportunities on the glass. Nonetheless, while the 34-year-old has been known to have some duds, his upside can make a difference for DFS managers looking for salary cap relief.
Milwaukee Bucks center Bobby Portis (shoulder) and Brook Lopez (rest) are listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Most of the other main starters are unlikely to play as well. It sounds like the Bucks are ready for the postseason and will rest their starters. Serge Ibaka appears to be the last big man standing, so he should see plenty of minutes in this contest. Fantasy managers should consider him a possible streaming option, assuming a majority of the Bucks starters sit.
Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez (back) has been cleared to get back onto the floor for Monday's game against the Jazz. Lopez has been sidelined since Opening Night after undergoing back surgery and subsequent rehab. Fantasy managers should temper expectations for the 33-year-old, as Milwaukee will likely attempt to acclimate him to the rotation during his first handful of games back in the mix. While it's unclear whether he will continue to start or shift to his traditional bench role, Bobby Portis figures to lose some of his fantasy shine, even if he remains a viable season-long cog in most leagues. In addition to his double-digit scoring, Lopez holds multi-block and multi-three potential on a nightly basis, making him an appealing categories format option as playoff matchups get underway.
