Buddy Hield News
If the first two games of the season are any indication, Sacramento Kings shooting guard/small forward Buddy Hield is certainly embracing his role as the team's No. 1 offensive option off the bench. Hield launched 15 threes during Friday's loss to the Jazz en route to scoring 24 points, as he knocked down six of those attempts from deep. While Hield did not attempt a free throw despite taking 21 shots, he helped his scoring effort by snatching seven rebounds. The Kings will again have a crowded wing this season, but Hield appears to still be the cream of the crop, irrespective of whether or not he's among the starting five.
Sacramento Kings guard Buddy Hield could be on the move. Hield has been the subject of trade discussions and has recently been linked to the Sixers and Lakers as potential destinations. The 28-year-old was vocal about his displeasure with the organization during the year, but he was a solid contributor, finishing the 2020-21 campaign by averaging 16.6 points while shooting 39 percent from deep. If Hield lands in Los Angeles or Philadelphia, he may routinely start or at least get consistent minutes as a bench option. Regardless, he is a capable scorer who has the potential to smash his fantasy expectations if given a chance.
Sacramento Kings shooting guard Buddy Hield delivered a good all-around performance in Sunday's blowout win over the Thunder, finishing with 14 points, seven assists, five rebounds, two blocks and one steal. He shot 5-for-11 from the field with most of his makes coming from outside as he went 4-for-10 with the three-ball. Hield was questionable for the game with a left ankle sprain but logged a very productive 29 minutes. He gets a chance to have fun against the young OKC team again on Tuesday.
Sacramento Kings guard Buddy Hield (ankle) is listed as a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Kings could certainly use Hield with Harrison Barnes (groin) and Hassan Whiteside (protocols) sidelined for this matchup. However, it sounds like the Kings will wait and see how Hield feels during pregame warmups. His absence would mean more minutes for Delon Wright, Terence Davis, and Maurice Harkless. Out of the three, Wright is the best streaming option for Sunday.
