Norman Powell May Miss Sunday's Game

Miami Heat guard/forward Norman Powell (back) is considered questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Indiana Pacers. He's dealing with back spasms and could exit the lineup after a 15-point effort in Friday's loss to Cleveland. Health issues have limited Powell to just six appearances in March. If he has to miss time again, Pelle Larsson is the prime candidate to fill in for Powell in the starting unit. While Larsson can also be impactful off the bench, his numbers clearly improve in the first unit. Across 35 starts this season, the 25-year-old has averaged 12.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists.

Norman Powell Returns to Action Monday

Miami Heat guard/forward Norman Powell (calf) will be back in action on Monday against the San Antonio Spurs. He didn't play in Saturday's loss to Houston due to a calf problem. Powell has battled health issues throughout the season and has made only three appearances in March. He is averaging 19.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists this month. Powell's offensive numbers have dipped recently due to 21.4 percent three-point shooting. He will face a top-three defense on Monday, so Powell may continue to struggle to find his offensive rhythm.

Norman Powell is Tagged as Questionable for Saturday

Miami Heat guard Norman Powell (groin) is tagged as questionable ahead of Saturday's game against the Orlando Magic. Powell is hopeful to return to the court after missing seven games in a row due to a groin strain. If he's cleared, Powell will likely be on a minutes limit considering he hasn't played since late February. His return to the court would mean fewer minutes for Kasparas Jakucionis, Dru Smith (hip) and Simone Fontecchio. Fantasy managers should check back on Saturday ahead of tip-off for a final update on Powell.

Norman Powell Remains Out Tuesday

Miami Heat guard/forward Norman Powell (groin) will sit out a sixth consecutive game on Tuesday night against the Washington Wizards. He is on the shelf with a groin strain and remains without a timetable for his return. Pelle Larsson, Dru Smith, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. have picked up more work during Powell's absence. Meanwhile, Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo are responsible for most of the offense, especially with Andrew Wiggins (toe) also out of the lineup. The Heat have a great fantasy matchup on Tuesday against a team that allows 120.5 points per 100 possessions.

Norman Powell Remains Out Against Pistons

Miami Heat guard/forward Norman Powell (groin) will miss Sunday's big clash against the Detroit Pistons. He continues to recover from a Grade 1 groin strain, sitting out a fifth consecutive game. Powell leads the Heat in scoring this season, and without him, there's more offensive responsibility on Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo. Meanwhile, Pelle Larsson has held a starting role for an extended period, recording averages of 11.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists since the All-Star break.

Norman Powell Misses Second Consecutive Game

Miami Heat guard/forward Norman Powell (groin) will be absent for a second consecutive game on Tuesday against the Brooklyn Nets. Last week, Powell was diagnosed with a Grade 1 right groin strain and labeled week-to-week, so it could take a while before the first-year All-Star returns to action. With Powell unavailable, Tyler Herro made his way back to the first unit on Saturday against the Houston Rockets, scoring 18 points and dishing out three assists. Pelle Larsson and Jaime Jaquez Jr. also benefit from Powell's absence.

Norman Powell Considered Week-to-Week

Miami Heat guard/forward Norman Powell (groin) is considered week-to-week after sustaining a right groin strain Thursday against Philadelphia, likely sidelining him for multiple games. Powell had been operating as a high-usage scorer, so his absence opens meaningful offensive volume. Tyler Herro, who posted 25 points with four triples, four rebounds, and seven assists in 32 minutes last game, is positioned for a larger role and is a strong hold. Pelle Larsson logged 33 minutes with nine points and six assists and remains a viable streamer while Powell is out.

Norman Powell Leaves Game with Groin Injury

Miami Heat guard/forward Norman Powell (groin) did not return to Thursday's game against Philadelphia after sustaining a setback with his right groin in the second quarter. He finished with three points, three rebounds, and two assists in 10 minutes before being ruled out. Powell had been averaging 22.5 points in 30.0 minutes, so his absence would open up significant usage. Jaime Jaquez Jr. posted 19 points, four rebounds, and two steals in 30 minutes off the bench and is a viable short-term add. Pelle Larsson and Tyler Herro should also see expanded roles.

Norman Powell Active On Thursday

According to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, Miami Heat guard/forward Norman Powell (groin) will suit up against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday. Powell was a late addition to his team's injury report on Thursday afternoon due to groin soreness, but he's since been cleared to play. The 32-year-old has made three appearances since the break and collected 26 points in Tuesday's loss to the Bucks. If Powell has any setbacks, backcourt minutes could be available for Kasparas Jakucionis, Pelle Larsson, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. alongside Tyler Herro, who is still playing limited minutes after his recent return.

Norman Powell Downgraded to Questionable Thursday Against the 76ers

Miami Heat guard/forward Norman Powell (groin) was a late addition to his team's injury report on Thursday afternoon and is questionable for the team's game in Philadelphia due to right groin soreness. He missed time just before the All-Star break due to an illness, but he has played three games since the break and scored 26 points in Tuesday's loss to Milwaukee. With Davion Mitchell (illness) also questionable, there could be lots of work in Miami's backcourt for Kasparas Jakucionis, Pelle Larsson, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. alongside Tyler Herro, who is still playing limited minutes after his recent return.
