Jordan Hawkins Fantasy Stats

Free-agent guard/forward Jordan Hawkins is signing a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls, ESPN's Shams Charania reports. Memphis waived the former No. 14 pick Friday, less than a month after acquiring him from New Orleans. Hawkins reunites with Bulls executive Bryson Graham, who was in the Pelicans' front office when he was drafted in 2023. The 24-year-old averaged 5.1 points in 13.6 minutes while shooting 34.8 percent from three across 51 games last season. With Norman Powell, Isaac Okoro, and rookie Dailyn Swain among Chicago's perimeter options, Hawkins could spend significant time with the Windy City Bulls and would likely need injuries or a rotation opening to gain fantasy relevance.

The Memphis Grizzlies and guard/forward Jordan Hawkins have mutually agreed to part ways, ESPN's Shams Charania reports. Hawkins will become a free agent once he clears waivers, only three weeks after Memphis acquired him from New Orleans in a four-player trade. The 24-year-old averaged 5.1 points and 0.9 threes in 13.6 minutes across 51 games last season while shooting 36.6 percent from the field. There wasn't an obvious path to minutes in Memphis with Ty Jerome and Cam Spencer already in the backcourt mix. Hawkins did finish the season well, scoring at least 20 points in his final two April games. For fantasy, there's not much to do with him until he lands somewhere that can give him regular minutes.

The New Orleans Pelicans are trading guard/forward Jordan Hawkins to the Memphis Grizzlies alongside Micah Peavy, a future second-round pick, and a future second-round pick swap for AJ Johnson and Taj Gibson, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. Hawkins, the former No. 14 pick, fell out of New Orleans' rotation last season, averaging 5.1 points, 1.7 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 0.9 three-pointers in 13.6 minutes across 51 games while shooting 36.6 percent from the field. Memphis is rebuilding and still light on proven shooting, so Hawkins gets a better runway than he had with the Pelicans. The catch is roster security. He is in the final season of his rookie deal at $7.02 million, and the Grizzlies still have a crowded contract sheet to trim before opening night.

The New Orleans Pelicans recently signed Bennedict Mathurin to a two-year deal. The new addition is going to significantly impact the Pelicans' rotation this upcoming season. The team will need to figure out how to mix Dejounte Murray, Jeremiah Fears, Jordan Poole, and Mathurin all into a rotation together. Given all the depth the Pelicans have right now, Jordan Hawkins might end up outside the rotation to begin the season. There's not going to be enough playing time for everyone, so somebody needs to be the odd man out. Hawkins already didn't have a ton of fantasy value coming into the season, but he probably won't be worth stashing in most fantasy formats.

New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Jordan Hawkins (back) is good to go for the start of the season. The 23-year-old missed the final couple of weeks of the 2024-25 season with a back problem. During Tuesday's media day, Hawkins told reporters that his back is "1,000 percent" better and he hasn't experienced any health issues during the offseason. Hawkins notched 10.8 points per game last term, but his offensive output is likely to decline this year as several of his teammates return to health. He also needs to compete for playing time with a couple of new backcourt additions.

On Monday, the New Orleans Pelicans announced that shooting guard Jordan Hawkins (illness) is available to suit up against the Denver Nuggets. Hawkins had missed two consecutive contests due to an illness. In his last outing, the 22-year-old collected seven points, one rebound, one assist and one steal in 21 minutes during a 113-104 loss to the Raptors on January 27th. Dejounte Murray (Achilles) is out for the season, so Hawkins will likely see an expanded role and could be a solid fantasy option moving forward.

New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Jordan Hawkins (illness) will miss Friday's contest against the Boston Celtics. He is out with an illness for a second consecutive game after the team downgraded him from questionable to out. Brandon Boston Jr. saw an uptick in minutes in the last game against the Dallas Mavericks and will likely pick up a few extra minutes again. He finished with 12 points and four steals against the Mavericks, showcasing his ability to make an impact at both ends of the floor.

New Orleans Pelicans guard Jordan Hawkins (illness) is suffering from a non-COVID illness on Friday and is considered questionable for their matchup against the Boston Celtics. With yet another lengthy injury report, Hawkins could get plenty of minutes if he's able to battle through this illness. If he's unable to play, however, Dejounte Murray (probable), CJ McCollum, and Trey Murphy III will all see heavy minutes with the starting five. Brandon Boston Jr. will likely get some added minutes and could serve as a streamer in deeper leagues after dropping 12 points, one rebound, and four steals in their last game.

New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Jordan Hawkins (illness) will skip Wednesday's matchup against the Dallas Mavericks. He is feeling under the weather and will be sidelined after making 20 consecutive appearances. With Hawkins on the shelf, Jose Alvarado and Brandon Boston Jr. might soak in more minutes on Wednesday. However, this isn't a good matchup for the Pelicans' second unit, as Dallas allows the sixth-fewest bench points in the league.

New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Jordan Hawkins (thumb) has been cleared to play on Friday versus Memphis. The team has upgraded him from questionable to available. The 22-year-old is a talented shooter who averages 12.5 points for the season. However, Hawkins managed only five points in Thursday's 128-111 loss against Houston, shooting 0-for-6 from three-point range. Friday's matchup is another tough one for Hawkins, as Memphis has limited opposing teams to 33.4 percent shooting from deep.
