GG Jackson II Out Friday Against Boston

Memphis Grizzlies forward/center GG Jackson II (knee) has been ruled out Friday against the Celtics after being downgraded from doubtful due to left knee soreness. His absence should keep Taylor Hendricks and Olivier-Maxence Prosper in larger roles. Hendricks delivered 13 points with six steals and three blocks in 24 minutes off the bench last game, giving him strong category streaming appeal, while Prosper added 19 points and three three-pointers in 23 minutes as a starter. Both are worth a look as fantasy options with Memphis thin in the frontcourt. Jaylen Wells could also take on a bit more offensive responsibility.

GG Jackson II Unlikely to Play Against Boston

Memphis Grizzlies forward/center GG Jackson II (knee) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Celtics due to left knee soreness and could be held out with the second leg of a back-to-back looming Saturday. His expected absence should open extra minutes for Taylor Hendricks, who finished with 13 points, six steals, and three blocks in 24 minutes last game, putting him on the radar as a defensive streamer. Olivier-Maxence Prosper could also benefit after a 19-point start with three three-pointers. Both offer streaming appeal, though their roles can still fluctuate during the fantasy playoffs.

GG Jackson II Back in Action Wednesday

Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson II (foot) will return from a two-game absence on Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets. The team has removed Jackson II from the injury report after he missed some time due to a sore right foot. Jackson II's return will push Rayan Rupert back to the bench. After a tough night against Chicago on Monday, Rupert's fantasy value takes a further hit with a return to bench duties. Jackson II has been a solid option for fantasy managers since the All-Star break, averaging 17.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game.

GG Jackson II Out, Rayan Rupert to Start Against Bulls

Memphis Grizzlies forward/center GG Jackson II (foot) is out for Monday's game against the Bulls, with guard Rayan Rupert moving into the starting lineup. Rupert logged 13 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 38 minutes in his previous appearance and profiles as a deep-league streaming option if he sees a similar run. Taylor Hendricks posted seven points, five rebounds, two steals, and two blocks in 30 minutes last game and should remain in the rotation, while Olivier-Maxence Prosper could continue seeing usage after a 17-point outing.

GG Jackson II Out on Friday

Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson II (illness) won't play on Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers. The 20-year-old is currently battling an illness and has been downgraded from questionable to out. Given Jackson II's limited role on the team, Memphis likely won't miss him much. During the new campaign, Jackson II has averaged only 9.0 minutes across two outings. He will get his first chance to return to the lineup on Sunday night against the Toronto Raptors.

GG Jackson II Added to Injury Report with Illness

Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson II (illness) popped up on the injury report on Friday afternoon with an illness and is now questionable for their NBA Cup game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite showing some promising moments in his rookie season, Jackson appeared in just 29 games last year and has gotten into two contests so far this season. He's not much of a fantasy option, even in deeper leagues, so if he misses this contest it's more impactful for those that might stay on the court longer. Santi Aldama, Cedric Coward, and Cam Spencer have been the first three of the bench for the Grizzlies, and they all should be considered in deep leagues. For standard size leagues, Aldama and Coward can contribute in spurts when needed.

GG Jackson II Records 13 Points in Summer League Action on Tuesday

Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson II finished with 13 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two blocks in 26 minutes during a 96-84 Summer League loss to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday after sitting out Saturday's game due to an illness. The 20-year-old missed the first half of the 2024-25 campaign due to a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot and was limited to just 29 regular-season appearances. After several impressive Summer League outings, Jackson could see an uptick in minutes, providing the Grizzlies with an offensive threat off the bench during the upcoming 2025-26 season.

GG Jackson II Available For Tuesday

Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson II (personal) is not listed on the injury report for Tuesday's Game 2 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He missed Game 1 of the series for personal reasons. Jackson II averaged 7.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 15.8 minutes during the regular season, making 28 appearances after missing the first half of the campaign with a foot injury. However, the 20-year-old logged only two minutes of action during the Play-In Tournament and is unlikely to receive significant playing time under normal circumstances during the playoffs.

GG Jackson II Sent Down To G League

Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson II has been going through a bit of a rough patch lately and was assigned to the team's G League affiliate on Monday. The 20-year-old missed the first half of the season due to injury and returned to the court on January 20. Since then, he's averaged 7.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.2 threes per game. His efficiency has been rough, to say the least, with shooting splits of .392/.337/.737. This should open up some more minutes for Vince Williams Jr., Jaylen Wells, and even Lamar Stevens.
