Jayson Tatum Will Play On Tuesday

According to Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla, forward Jayson Tatum (ankle) will play in Tuesday's game against the visiting Hawks. The multi-time All-Star was listed as questionable because of a sprained left ankle. However, that won't keep him off the floor on Tuesday night. Even better, he won't have any restrictions. Tatum has averaged 30.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.6 steals this season. But he could be even more productive versus a Hawks team that has allowed 121 points per game this season, the third-worst mark in the National Basketball Association.

Jayson Tatum Could Miss Tuesday's Game

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (ankle) is currently listed as questionable ahead of Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. Tatum appears to have suffered a minor ankle issue during Sunday's win over the Milwaukee Bucks. The Celtics will likely wait until closer to tip-off on Tuesday before making a final decision on Tatum's status. If he sits, Jaylen Brown would be asked to take on a heavy workload in the scoring department. Also, Sam Hauser would likely be asked to start in place of Tatum. Hauser is a decent rotational player, but isn't worth a look in fantasy formats.

Jayson Tatum Works On His Shooting During Offseason

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum spent some of the offseason working on his shooting, telling the media on Tuesday that he has worked through "a few mechanical things" on his jumper with trainer Drew Hanlen. Tatum has developed into one of the best scorers in the league, but his numbers dipped in 2023-24. The five-time All-Star went from averaging 30 points a night to getting 26.9 points. Tatum shot a career-low 28.3 percent from three-point range in the 2024 playoffs and couldn't get anything to fall from deep at the Paris Olympics. The Celtics star enters the new season after signing the biggest extension in NBA history and is expected to be out to prove his worth after being largely overlooked by Team USA in the summer.

Jayson Tatum Quiet In Paris Debut

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum settled for four points on 2-for-4 shooting in his Paris Olympics debut against South Sudan on Wednesday. After sitting out the entire game in Team USA's opener against Serbia as a DNP-CD, Tatum was inserted straight into the starting lineup on Wednesday, replacing Jrue Holiday. He logged 17 minutes and finished off his work in a 103-86 win with five rebounds, two assists, and one block. Team USA head coach Steve Kerr has suggested that more changes to the lineup are coming and has already confirmed that Tatum will head back to the bench for Saturday's contest against Puerto Rico.

Jayson Tatum, Celtics Agree On Supermax Extension

According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum agreed to a five-year, $315 million supermax contract extension on Monday. It's the largest deal in NBA history, and it comes after the 2017 No. 3 overall pick led the Celtics to their first championship since 2008. Without question, Tatum is worth every penny. He finished the 2023-24 campaign by averaging 26.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.9 assists while shooting 37.6% from behind the arc. The 26-year-old is a first-round fantasy option heading into 2024-25, even more so since he's played at least 74 games in each of the previous three seasons.

Jayson Tatum Finishes Finals With Big Effort

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum closed out the 2024 NBA Finals in style, going close to a 30-point triple-double in Monday's title-clincher against Dallas. He led all scorers with 31 points and registered eight rebounds and 11 assists with two steals. The Boston star had two 30-point efforts in the five-game series and ended up as the team leader in points, rebounds, and assists. However, the 2024 Finals MVP award went to Tatum's partner in crime, Jaylen Brown. Tatum's scoring numbers dropped in 2023-24, but he recorded a career-high 4.9 assists and had another good fantasy year overall.

Jayson Tatum Quiet In Game 4

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum had 15 points in Friday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks. He added five rebounds, two blocks, and one steal. The 26-year-old had 31 points in Game 3 on Wednesday evening. However, the Mavs took a big lead early, so Tatum logged only 27 minutes before calling it a night. With the C's still up two games, the series will head back to Boston for Game 5 on Monday night. The game should be more competitive, meaning Tatum has an excellent chance to bounce back.

Jayson Tatum Leads Celtics With 31 Points In Game 3 Victory

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum saw his shooting woes continue in Game 3 of the 2024 NBA Finals against Dallas, but he posted a team-high 31 points in a 106-99 victory. The Celtics star has shot 35.9 percent in the Finals, and he finished Wednesday's contest with an 11-for-26 effort, hitting 4-for-13 from deep. However, Tatum played a complete game, adding playmaking and rebounding to his scoring. He recorded six boards and five dimes with one steal. Tatum has been limited to 21.7 points per game in the Finals, but he's also had 8.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists to help the team grab a 3-0 series lead.

Jayson Tatum Struggles Shooting Again In Game 2

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum just missed a triple-double in Sunday's win over the Mavericks, ending the night with 18 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds. While the Celtics took the win to put the team up two games in the series, Tatum continues to struggle shooting the ball, going 6-for-22 from the field and 1-for-7 from deep. Fortunately, he was still a welcome addition to DFS lineups, although his shooting woes must be addressed ahead of Game 3 in Dallas on Wednesday night.

Jayson Tatum Leads Boston To A Win On Thursday

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum had a double-double in Thursday's win over the Dallas Mavericks. He amassed 16 points and 11 rebounds, adding five assists and a block. Unfortunately, the former Duke Blue Devil had issues taking care of the ball in Game 1, committing six turnovers. Tatum was arguably the C's most productive performer throughout the Eastern Conference Finals. But it's not uncommon for him to have an off night on the scoring end. With that in mind, Tatum could turn things around in Game 2, with Boston looking to earn another win before the series heads back to Dallas.
