Payton Pritchard News
Boston Celtics point guard Payton Pritchard will enter the starting five in place of Kemba Walker (rest) for Friday's contest against the Pistons. The start will mark the first of Pritchard's career, as he had previously already seen increased minutes off the bench when Walker missed the opening of the year. Pritchard enters Friday's game on the heels of a career-high six made triples in his latest outing, making him a premier DFS asset. Jeff Teague figures to see an increase in minutes off the bench as well, while Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown should also see more shot attempts funneled in their direction.
Boston Celtics point guard Payton Pritchard (knee) is back in the fold for Friday's game versus the Clippers after a six-game absence due to a sprained MCL. His return coincides with the absence of Jaylen Brown (knee) and Marcus Smart (calf), paving the way for the rookie to potentially see a sizable role among the second unit in his first game back. Pritchard has proven to be adroit offensively when given extended run thus far, although the combination of the Clippers' defense and his recent injury makes him something of a finicky DFS option.
Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard (knee) has a chance to play Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers. Pritchard has been sidelined since suffering an MCL sprain on January 22nd, but was upgraded to questionable on Friday. If Pritchard is close to playing, some sort of minutes restriction would be expected after the lengthy absence. Jeff Teague would take a biggest hit in value, but has been on the cusp of the rotation for awhile and has not looked great when given minutes.
Boston Celtics point guard Payton Pritchard (knee) has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL, which is expected to keep him sidelined for at least two weeks. Pritchard's minutes figured to be on the downswing upon the return of Kemba Walker, but the injury is a tough blow for the rookie, who showcased DFS upside potential earlier in the year when Boston's backcourt was short-handed. Jeff Teague will likely see a slight increase in minutes backing up Walker, while Marcus Smart can pitch in to cover for Pritchard as well. The injury forces the rookie to the waiver wire in nearly all season-long formats for the time being.
