Payton Pritchard Good to Go on Monday

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard (neck) will play on Monday against Detroit. He popped up on the injury report because of neck spasms. Fortunately, the 27-year-old won't miss his first game of the 2025 campaign. Pritchard is having a fantastic season, averaging 16.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, all career-highs. While he's shot a career-low 33.7% from behind the arc, he remains a must-start in all fantasy formats despite a tough matchup on the horizon.

Payton Pritchard Ready to Face Rockets

Boston Celtics point guard Payton Pritchard (ankle) will be in the lineup on Saturday against the Houston Rockets. There was a little question mark hanging over Pritchard after he injured his left ankle on Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers and was on the injury report with a probable designation. Pritchard has joined Boston's first unit this season, averaging 14.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 1.3 steals. He's offered plenty of fantasy value, although there should be a lot more to come from Pritchard, as he's been shooting below 18 percent from downtown so far.

Payton Pritchard Reportedly Moving Into Starting Lineup

According to NBA insider Grant Afseth, Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard is expected to move into the starting lineup this season, with Anfernee Simons anticipated to be used as a "high-scoring option off the bench." The Celtics are projected to take a step back, with superstar Jayson Tatum (Achilles) in line to miss the entire season. The team also traded Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday during the offseason. As a result, Pritchard appears to be getting a chance to roll with the first five moving ahead. The 27-year-old averaged a career-high 14.3 points throughout the 2025 campaign, earning him a Sixth Man of the Year award. He also amassed 21.7 points in three starts. All things considered, Pritchard might very well be entering what could be the best year of his career. He's an excellent shooter from behind the arc, and he's only missed two games in the last two seasons. Pritchard's ceiling should rise even more if Jaylen Brown, who has struggled with injuries over the years, misses time.

Payton Pritchard Eager to Continue Improving

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard took a big leap in 2024-25 and aims to improve even more in the upcoming season. "I feel like everybody should be excited," Pritchard said on the Celtics Talk Podcast. "There's a lot of opportunities across the board. For me, personally, I'm excited every year. Because it's an opportunity to prove myself again, to show that I can take another step. And that's my goal every year. I'm definitely hungry and motivated this year, been working really hard. So I'm excited." Pritchard was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year last season after he averaged 14.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists, shooting 40.7 percent from downtown. Following an offseason of change in Boston, Pritchard will have every chance to play an even more important role on his team.

Payton Pritchard Iffy For Saturday's Action

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard (hip) has been listed as questionable for Saturday's matchup against the San Antonio Spurs. A hip problem may keep Pritchard sidelined for only the second time this season. The 27-year-old has been among the league's top bench performers, averaging 14.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. If Pritchard is out on Saturday, Sam Hauser may have a more active role in the second unit against the Spurs, alongside Al Horford, who is set to land back on the bench with Jayson Tatum's (ankle) return.

Payton Pritchard Available On Wednesday Night

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard (hip) is available on Wednesday against Portland. He appeared on the injury report because of left hip flexor tightness after scoring 11 points in Sunday's win over the Denver Nuggets. But the 27-year-old was listed as probable, so fantasy managers had a feeling he'd be out there. With Jayson Tatum (shoulder), Kristaps Porzingis (illness), and Jrue Holiday (finger) all sidelined, Pritchard will likely enter the starting lineup. However, even if he doesn't start, he should be more productive than usual, making him a must-start in any fantasy setup.

Payton Pritchard Listed As Probable For Wednesday's Game Against Blazers

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard (hip) was listed as probable on the team's injury report Wednesday and should be expected to play against the Portland Trail Blazers. Pritchard is dealing with left hip flexor tightness but hasn't missed any games as of late and should be able to play through the pain. The guard has averaged 14.2 PPG since early February and should be a solid option against Portland, who has started to give up more three point attempts over their last five games.

Payton Pritchard Out Sick Versus Philadelphia

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard (illness) won't play on Sunday against Philadelphia. The 27-year-old has had an excellent 2024-25 campaign, averaging 13.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists, all career-highs. But he'll miss his first game of the year because of an illness. Without him, Sam Hauser should see more opportunities from off the bench.

Payton Pritchard Will Play On Tuesday

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard (thumb) will play in Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 26-year-old was questionable heading into this contest because of a sprained thumb. Luckily, the C's will have him out there for a touch matchup with the undefeated Cavs. While Pritchard comes off the bench, he has averaged 15.5 points and shot 41.9% from behind the arc, making him a welcome addition to any fantasy lineup.

Payton Pritchard Questionable For Tuesday

According to Justin Turpin of WEEI.com, Boston Celtics point guard Payton Pritchard (thumb) is questionable for Tuesday's matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Pritchard has averaged 17.3 points, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals in 28.8 minutes per game during his last 12 outings. He's yet to miss a contest this regular season, but if the 26-year-old cannot go, Sam Hauser will likely see an uptick in minutes on the court.
