J.J. Redick News
Dallas Mavericks guard J.J. Redick (heel) will be shut down until the postseason next week. The team is uncertain if he'll be ready to play in the playoffs, but he isn't a huge part of the Mavs rotation. The veteran guard is a nice source of triples off the bench, but won't make or break the team. Josh Richardson and Jalen Brunson should see more minutes during the last few regular season games. Richardson is the better fantasy option between the two guards.
Dallas Mavericks guard J.J. Redick (heel) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. The veteran guard was only able to play two minutes on Tuesday before he was forced out due to a heel issue. It wouldn't be shocking to see the Mavs have Redick rest until the postseason. Jalen Brunson and Tim Hardaway Jr. will see an uptick in value on Wednesday. Hardaway is the better streaming option between the two guards.
Dallas Mavericks power forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) and shooting guard J.J. Redick (heel) have both been ruled out for Saturday's contest versus Washington. Porzingis will have played just once in Dallas' past five games, seeing only 21 minutes in that lone outing. The move could be somewhat precautionary with the Mavericks playing the first leg of a back-to-back Saturday, but it's apparent that Porzingis is far from 100 percent healthy down the stretch. Redick has become a reliable member of the team's second unit over the past three weeks, but his 12.4 minutes per game average since joining Dallas caps his fantasy ceiling. The next chance that either player has to return comes Sunday against the Kings.
Dallas Mavericks shooting guard/small forward J.J. Redick (heel) and small/power forward Dorian Finney-Smith (leg) have both been cleared to suit up Tuesday against the Warriors. Redick returns after a one-game absence, giving the Mavericks some much-needed wing depth with Josh Richardson (hamstring) unavailable. Finney-Smith will look to continue his recent hot stretch in which he has scored in double figures in six consecutive games, averaging 34.5 minutes per contest in that span. With Dallas' depth being tested, all healthy members of the roster stand to have elevated DFS appeal, while Redick and Finney-Smith have respective season-long category intrigue due to their specific skill sets.
