New York Knicks center John Henson (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Toronto Raptors. Henson has not been able to make his team debut due to a calf issue. Sadly, he won't have much fantasy appeal once he is cleared to play. Nerlens Noel and Taj Gibson will be above him on the depth chart. Noel is worth looking at in most formats due to his defensive ability.
Detroit Pistons center John Henson (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. He suffered a left ankle sprain on Sunday, so this could very well be a multiple game absence. Sekou Doumbouya and Thon Maker should be asked to play increased minutes without Henson available. Both players have similar upsides, but they are basically just deep league options.
Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight and center John Henson won't suit up for Friday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Christian Wood will be asked to step up on Friday, while Thon Maker and Sekou Doumbouya get more minutes as well. Henson should have increased value in Detroit, but won't have anything more than a deep league option. Wood should be a popular DFS option for Friday's slate. Knight isn't worth looking at in fantasy leagues and can be left on the waiver wire.
Cleveland Cavaliers power forward/center John Henson had his timing on point on Friday when he blocked seven shots in just 16 minutes against the Grizzlies in the seven-point win. Henson scored three points with four rebounds and three assists to add to his interesting night. Henson has not shown enough to be picked up, other than in very deep leagues, but with Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson on the block, Henson could be thrust into a bigger role, so add him to your watchlist in competitive leagues.
Cleveland Cavaliers center John Henson (hamstring) is expected to miss the next two to four weeks after suffering an injury on Saturday. Henson suffered a right hamstring strain during his season debut Saturday night. He wasn't really going to be in the rotation anyway, so fantasy owners who were taking a chance on Henson can drop him. The Cavs will likely be cautious here with Henson.
John Henson Gets Through First Practice on Tuesday
Cleveland Cavaliers center John Henson (wrist) was able to go through his first practice of the year on Tuesday. Henson has not participated in a practice since early November of 2018. He needed wrist surgery last season, and then was traded to the Cavs after he was ruled out for the year. He should find his way into the rotation in Cleveland, but his role with the team is unclear. He's not worth drafting in standard leagues, but Henson might have some value in deep leagues.
Matthew Dellavedova, John Henson Acquired By Cavaliers
Milwaukee Bucks point/shooting guard Matthew Dellavedova is returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have also acquired center John Henson in a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks, sending George Hill in the opposite direction. Dellavedova spent the first three seasons of his career in Cleveland, having averaged just 8.1 minutes per game with Milwaukee this year. How much playing time hell receive is unknown at this time, but the Cavaliers do boast a plethora of backcourt players. As for Henson, hes expected to miss at least the next three months of action due to wrist surgery, so his fantasy prospects are off the table for the time being.
Milwaukee Bucks forward/center John Henson (wrist) is expected to miss a minimum of 12 weeks following surgery on a torn left wrist ligament. Henson reportedly injured his wrist on Nov. 6, but played the next three games. He said that he was dealing with additional discomfort following Wednesday's game and now is scheduled to have surgery on his wrist. Brook Lopez is going to benefit the most from the loss of Henson. Thon Maker should see an increase in playing time as well.
John Henson, Ersan Ilyasova Are Available on Saturday
Milwaukee Bucks forward/centers John Henson (wrist) and Ersan IIyasova (knee) are both available for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Both players were listed as questionable with minor injuries. Neither player has been playing overly well this season, but Ilyasova is averaging 9.0 points, 6.7 rebounds in 23.2 minutes. He's worth a look in some leagues.
Milwaukee Bucks forward/center John Henson (wrist) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. He did manage to play in Thursday's game against the Golden State Warriors after being listed as questionable. Henson finished with four points, three rebounds and one block in 13 minutes. Brook Lopez and Thon Maker would see increased playing time if Henson sits out.
