Keegan Murray Cleared for Basketball Activities

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (ankle) has been cleared for contact basketball activities, the team announced. He is making "good progress" in his recovery from a left ankle sprain. Although the team provided an encouraging update, the Kings have nothing left to play for and may decide to keep Murray out until the end of the season. There are nine more games remaining for Sacramento, starting with Thursday's matchup against the Orlando Magic. Murray has had a tough campaign, shooting a career-low 27.7 percent from three-point range. He has averaged 14.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game.

Keegan Murray to Be Re-Evaluated in Two Weeks

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (ankle) will be re-evaluated in two weeks as he continues recovering from an ankle injury that has already cost him multiple games. With Sacramento out of the playoff race, Murray does not appear close to a return. He is becoming a difficult hold with the fantasy season nearing its final stretch. Precious Achiuwa has stepped into a larger role, posting 14 points, eight rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block in 30 minutes in his last start, while Daeqwon Plowden added 13 points with three 3-pointers off the bench. Achiuwa is the priority target on waivers, while Plowden may also see enough run to warrant deep league attention.

Keegan Murray Out at Least Two Weeks

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (ankle) aggravated his sprained left ankle during Wednesday's loss to the Rockets and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. Sacramento will likely play the long game with him, so his fantasy return hinges on how the ankle responds over the next couple of weeks in rehab. Murray averages 34.5 minutes with an 18.3 usage rate, leaving a clear void on the wing. Nique Clifford logged 39 minutes with 13 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in his last start and profiles as the top short-term add. Daeqwon Plowden and Malik Monk also gain streaming appeal in deeper formats.

Keegan Murray Will Not Play on Thursday in Dallas

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (ankle) will not play on Thursday after aggravating his sprained ankle in Wednesday's loss to the Rockets. Murray missed 20 games with an injury to the same ankle from Jan. 6 to Feb. 11, but the team hasn't given an update on any timetable for him to return this time. Without him on Thursday, Nique Clifford will likely play a more active role, while Daeqwon Plowden and Patrick Baldwin will also have more work coming off the bench. The Kings are already short-handed, so without Murray, even more value will be available to those fringe contributors.

Keegan Murray Won't Return on Wednesday Night

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (ankle) won't return to Wednesday's game against Houston. The 25-year-old recently returned after missing over a month because of a sprained left ankle. Unfortunately, he re-injured the same ankle late in the first quarter on Wednesday night. Murray would go on to finish with three points in nine minutes of action. The Kings play again on Thursday in Dallas, although fantasy managers shouldn't expect to see him out there for that one. If that's the case, Nique Clifford, averaging 9.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 10 starts this season, would be considered the favorite to enter the starting lineup.

Keegan Murray Ready to Play Thursday

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (ankle) said he is ready to return for Thursday's game against Orlando, according to James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento. Murray has been out since early January but recently resumed full basketball activities. In 19 appearances this season, he is averaging 14.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals, 1.6 blocks, and 1.3 threes in 35.9 minutes. With Zach LaVine (hand) and Domantas Sabonis (knee) out for the year, Murray should absorb more offensive responsibility alongside DeMar DeRozan. The Kings could ease him back, but he's worth holding as his workload builds.

Keegan Murray Out at Least Two More Weeks

According to Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee, Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (ankle) is progressing in his recovery from a moderate left ankle sprain. He has been cleared for on-court contact activities and will be reevaluated in two weeks. With the new timetable, it looks like the 25-year-old could return sometime after the mid-February All-Star break. Malik Monk will continue carrying a heavier workload while Murray is absent and until De'Andre Hunter is ready to make his Kings debut.

Keegan Murray Expected to Miss at Least Three Weeks

According to NBA reporter Marc Stein, Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (ankle) is unavailable for Monday's clash with Dallas and will miss at least three weeks due to a sprained left ankle. Murray sustained the injury during a 115-98 loss to the Bucks on Sunday. The 25-year-old could be out of action until late January or early February. While Murray is on the shelf, the Kings may have to turn to Precious Achiuwa to take on extra minutes. However, Achiuwa has struggled recently, scoring fewer than 5 points in 4 of the last five games.

Keegan Murray Will Be Available on Tuesday

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (calf) was originally questionable but was upgraded to available for Tuesday's matchup against the Clippers. He was expected to miss a week when the injury was initially announced last Friday, but he's ahead of schedule and will be back on the floor this Tuesday. Murray is averaging 14.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, and 1.5 steals in 37.1 minutes per game in his 15 games this season. His return will likely push Keon Ellis back to the bench, but it's a big upgrade for the Kings' offense as a whole. Like the Kings, get Murray back into your lineups for Tuesday's game, and be excited that he was able to recover ahead of schedule.

Keegan Murray Questionable to Face Clippers

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (calf) is listed as questionable for a meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night. He may be forced to skip a third consecutive contest due to a right calf sprain. Following Murray's exit from the lineup, Keon Ellis has made back-to-back starts. He went for 21 points, three steals, and two blocks on Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks but cooled off quickly. In Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Ellis contributed only two points. Nique Clifford is also seeing increased opportunities in Murray's absence and appears to be a better fantasy option than Ellis.
