Malik Monk Uncertain for Thursday Against Dallas

Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (ankle) is dealing with ankle soreness and may not be available when his team finishes their back-to-back in Texas with a game against the Mavericks. Monk only had seven points in 19 minutes on Wednesday, but had double-digit points in five straight before that. Russell Westbrook (thigh) and Keegan Murray (ankle) are already out, so if Monk joins them on the sidelines, Devin Carter and Killian Hayes will get plenty of run in the backcourt, while Nique Clifford, Precious Achiuwa, and Maxime Raynaud will have to carry more of the scoring load in the offense.

Malik Monk Set to Return on Thursday

Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (illness) is available for Thursday's clash with the Orlando Magic. An illness kept the 28-year-old sidelined for four consecutive contests. Monk is averaging 12.4 points, 2.6 assists and 2.0 rebounds across 22.2 minutes in 43 games this season. With Zach LaVine (hand) and Domantas Sabonis (knee) out for the remainder of the season, Monk could absorb more offensive responsibility moving forward.

Malik Monk Still Out With Illness

Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (illness) will remain out on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz, missing a third straight game. He has been bothered by an illness lately, exiting the lineup after having his strongest stretch of the season. Russell Westbrook (ankle), Zach LaVine (finger), De'Andre Hunter (eye), Keegan Murray (ankle), and Domantas Sabonis (knee) are also on Sacramento's long list of injuries, opening up additional playing time for Devin Carter, Nique Clifford, Daeqwon Plowden, Maxime Raynaud, and Dylan Cardwell. The Kings' players will be very attractive fantasy options on Wednesday, as Utah has the league's worst defensive rating.

Malik Monk Set to Miss Another Game Monday

Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (illness) will miss a second consecutive game on Monday against the New Orleans Pelicans. After dropping six three-point bombs and scoring 18 points against the Clippers on Friday night, Monk missed Saturday's contest against Cleveland due to illness and still needs time to recover from the bug. Sacramento's backcourt has also lost Zach LaVine (finger), improving the fantasy outlook of Nique Clifford and Devin Carter. Clifford led Sacramento's offense on Saturday, producing a career-high 30 points. Carter also made a mark in the game, finishing with 18 points, four rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal.

Malik Monk Won't Suit up on Saturday

Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (illness) is ruled out ahead of Saturday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Monk is coming off an 18-point performance against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. Now, he's under the weather and will miss the second leg of this back-to-back set. The Kings are expected to use a committee approach to fill the void left by Monk. Nique Clifford, Devin Carter, and Daeqwon Plowden should all see more minutes on Saturday. Among the three, Clifford is likely the best streaming choice with Monk sidelined for Saturday's slate.

Malik Monk Cleared to Play Against Wizards

Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (ankle) will suit up on Sunday against the Washington Wizards. An ankle issue initially put his availability for the game in doubt. Russell Westbrook (foot) will miss a third consecutive game, and Dennis Schroder has been traded to Cleveland along with Keon Ellis, leaving a lot of backcourt minutes to fill. Monk is set to benefit from the situation on Sunday against one of the weakest defenses in the league.

Malik Monk Returns to Kings Lineup

Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (ankle) is set to end a two-game absence on Friday against the Boston Celtics after the team removed him from the injury report. Monk injured his right ankle last week. Recently, Monk has had a larger role with the Kings, averaging 18.6 points and 3.2 assists in 27.1 minutes across his last five appearances. With Russell Westbrook (foot) out on Friday, the opportunity is there for Monk to make a significant impact.

Malik Monk Out Thursday

Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (ankle) will miss a second consecutive game on Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers after the team downgraded him from questionable to out. Sacramento's backcourt will also be without Russell Westbrook (foot), putting Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis in a position to shine. Schroder will start the contest in Westbrook's place. Monk's next chance to return will be on Friday against the Boston Celtics.

Malik Monk Ruled Out on Tuesday

Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (ankle) was downgraded from questionable to out for his team's matchup in New York on Tuesday. With Zach LaVine (back) also unavailable, Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schroder, and Keon Ellis will need to step up with Monk on the shelf. After spending part of the season out of the rotation, Monk has been very productive lately, and his absence could leave a lot of usage for the rest of the backcourt, with Ellis the most direct beneficiary. Ellis has been boom-or-bust in an expanded role, but he's worth a look as a DFS value play or a streaming option in what should be a busy night for him against the Knicks.

Malik Monk Tagged as Questionable for Tuesday

Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (ankle) is questionable to play on Tuesday against the New York Knicks. He's dealing with soreness in his right ankle, which could sideline him during what has been his best stretch of the season. Monk has posted 18.6 points and 3.2 assists per game over the past five contests. On Tuesday, Monk could make an even bigger impact if Zach LaVine (back) isn't in the lineup. At the same time, Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis would benefit from Monk's absence.
