Tristan Thompson News
Veteran center Tristan Thompson will spend another campaign with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Thompson, who won the NBA championship with the Cavaliers in 2016, returned to Cleveland last offseason, following short stints with five different teams. Per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Thompson is now extending his stay for another year. The 33-year-old was a double-double machine during his heydays but has taken on more of a mentorship role on the current Cavaliers team. He posted 3.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in 11.2 minutes last season, coming off the bench in 49 games. Thompson served a 25-game suspension in the middle of the campaign for violating the league's anti-drug program.

Tristan Thompson Signs With Cavaliers
Free-agent center Tristan Thompson is signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Shams Charania. The big man spent his first nine seasons of his career as a member of the Cavs organization. Since then, Thompson has bounced around quite a bit. Most recently, Thompson appeared in six games during the Los Angeles Lakers playoff run. The 32-year-old should provide leadership and depth off the bench. Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley figure to see a majority of the playing time. Thompson will likely compete with Damian Jones for backup minutes off the bench. It probably won't be a large enough role to warrant rostering Thompson in fantasy leagues.

Tristan Thompson Ruled Out Wednesday
Sacramento Kings center Tristan Thompson (quad) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Fellow big man Richaun Holmes will join him on the sideline as he continues to sit out due to COVID-19 protocols. Alex Len is expected to play extended minutes with Thompson and Holmes sidelined. He has two double-doubles in his last three outings. Len sounds like someone worth considering as a streaming option or possibly a low cost DFS option for Wednesday's slate.

Tristan Thompson Draws First Start Of Season
Sacramento Kings center Tristan Thompson has been elevated to the starting five for Friday's contest against Memphis. Thompson will be making his first start with the Kings and should see a sizable workload with Richaun Holmes (eye), Alex Len (health and safety protocols), and Marvin Bagley III (health and safety protocols) all unavailable. The veteran big man logged his first double-double of the year on Dec. 8 despite playing just 21 minutes off the bench. He could be worth a short-term season-long flier in deeper season-long formats, as he appears to have carved out a decent role for the time being.

Tristan Thompson Returns Friday, Won’t Face Minutes Limit
Boston Celtics center Tristan Thompson (pectoral) has been cleared to get back into the mix Friday against the Bulls and will not have his minutes restricted. While Thompson missed Wednesday's game and started three of the team's four prior contests, he averaged just 24.7 minutes per outing. The absence of Robert Williams III (toe) paves the way for Thompson to log as many minutes as he can, beginning Friday. While the center has just one double-double to his credit since Feb. 24, both his matchup against Nikola Vucevic and his unabated minutes allotment put him in play in both the DFS and season-long streamer market.

Tristan Thompson Expected Back On Friday
Boston Celtics center Tristan Thompson (pec) will likely play on Friday night against the Chicago Bulls. The veteran didn't suit up against Orlando on Wednesday night due to a left pectoral issue, but luckily, his absence may be short-lived. With Robert Williams III (toe) questionable, Thompson could end up logging extra minutes in the middle, with the 30-year-old averaging 8.3 points and 8.3 boards as a starter this season.

Tristan Thompson Questionable Against Magic
Boston Celtics center Tristan Thompson (pectoral) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Orlando Magic. He recently moved into the starting five, but that stint could be short lived. His absence would mean an immediate boost for Robert Williams. He'd see all the minutes he can handle at center, which would make him a popular fantasy option.

Tristan Thompson Starting Versus Blazers
Boston Celtics center Tristan Thompson will move into the starting five for Sunday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. The veteran center will get the starting nod over Robert Williams. This is likely a matchup move by head coach Brad Stevens, so expect both players to get plenty of minutes. Williams remains the better fantasy option between the two even with Thompson getting the start.

Tristan Thompson To Play In "Small Bursts" Wednesday
Boston Celtics forward/center Tristan Thompsonwill play in "short bursts" on Wednesday against the New York Knicks. Thompson is returning to play after sitting since March 14, and head coach Brad Stevens does not want to push the veteran big man in his return. Thompson is nothing more than a rebounding streamer at this point with Robert Williams III thriving as the starter. Thompson's return is a threat to Williams' minutes, though, so the situation is something to keep an eye on, especially if the rotations change for any reason.

Tristan Thompson Remains Out Wednesday
Boston Celtics forward/center Tristan Thompson (health and safety protocols) will not play Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks. It has been a week since Thompson entered the league's health and safety protocols, so we should be anticipating his return sooner rather than later. However, Thompson has been involved in trade talks with the deadline this week and could be moved. For now, Daniel Theis and Robert Williams III should continue to pick up minutes as the main big men for Boston.
