Los Angeles Rams linebacker Alec Ogletree was traded to the New York Giants, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Schefter reports that the deal is for two 2018 draft picks and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network says that Ogletree was also offered to the Chiefs. It is likely that Ogletree will start for the Giants in 2018 and the 26-year-old had 95 tackles, two sacks, and an interception in 2017.
The Los Angeles Rams have locked up their star linebacker Alec Ogletree. The team has just finalized a four-year deal worth $42 million, with $31.4 million in guarantees. Ogletree has played a crucial role in the Rams defense and is now under contract through 2021. During the Rams 3-2 start Ogletree has recorded a team-leading 54 tackles and 30 solo tackles with two sacks. He finished with 171 tackles last season which is fifth best in Rams franchise history. This is a good move by the Rams organization to lock up a defensive star like Ogletree. The future is looking bright in Los Angeles and the defense is looking even better.
