Jaguars Decline Options On Mychal Rivera, Arrelious Benn
The Jacksonville Jaguars declined the contract options for tight end Mychal Rivera and wide receiver Arrelious Benn on Tuesday, and they will become free agents in March. Rivera didn't play at all in 2017 and Benn had only one catch for 12 yards in nine games with Jacksonville. Neither are likely to make a fantasy impact in 2018, wherever they land.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receivers Allen Hurns (ankle) and Arrelious Benn (knee) have both been ruled out for Week 11 against the Browns. This was expected all along. It puts Jacksonville very thin at receiver this weekend, with Marqise Lee the unquestioned No. 1 option for Blake Bortles. Beyond that, Keelan Cole should see most of the run as the No. 2, and rookie Dede Westbrook (abdomen) is expected to come off Injured Reserve and contribute as well, although his snaps should be limited. Lee moves to WR2 territory, while Cole and Westbrook are lottery tickets in deep leagues. Expect Jacksonville to lean on the run in a game that is expected to see snow showers and frigid temperatures.
Leonard Fournette, Marcedes Lewis, Arrelious Benn Limited
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette (ankle), tight end Marcedes Lewis (knee) and wide receiver Arrelious Benn (knee) were all limited in practice Wednesday. Fournette is fully expected to play in Week 11 against the Browns and will still be an elite RB1 choice despite his poor Week 10 performance and Cleveland's surprisingly strong run defense. Lewis hasn't done anything since scoring three touchdowns in a fluke performance back on Sept. 24 and can be avoided for fantasy purposes. Benn hasn't been a fantasy consideration and is in serious jeopardy of sitting out this weekend, which would put Keelan Cole on the streaming radar in deep leagues with Allen Hurns (ankle) also looking doubtful.
