Brandon McManus News
Denver Broncos kicker Brandon McManus was busy in the Week 18 regular season finale against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers while the team scored a season-high 31 points in a meaningless game. McManus was able to make all four of his extra-point tries and his lone field-goal attempt from 33 yards out on Sunday. The 31-year-old continues to be one of the more reliable kickers in the NFL with a strong leg, although he made only 77.8 percent of a career-high 36 field-goal tries in 2022. Fantasy-wise, the problem with McManus is he just wasn't scoring points with enough regularity, and he finished as the No. 22 kicker in the league in overall fantasy points in one of the lowest-scoring offenses in football. If Russell Wilson and Company can figure things out this offseason with a new head coach in tow, McManus could jump back onto the fantasy radar in 2023.
Denver Broncos kicker Brandon McManus enters the Week 18 regular season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers tied with Mason Crosby as the No. 21 kicker in overall fantasy points, showing just how inconsistent he's been in a Broncos offense that is averaging a league-low 16 points per game. He's tied for the fifth-most field-goal attempts (35), but he's tied for 26th in extra-point attempts (23) to average just 6.4 fantasy points on the season. In Week 6 against the Chargers, McManus had one of his better games, making all three of his field-goal tries and his lone extra-point attempt. The 31-year-old has made 91.3 percent of his 35 field-goal tries, but fantasy managers should can find better options for fantasy purposes in Week 18.
Denver Broncos kicker Brandon McManus totaled just seven fantasy points in most leagues in the team's 27-24 loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs in Week 17 on Sunday on the road. He was afforded three extra-point tries (he was successful on all of them) and made his only field-goal attempt on the day. This was actually one of the busier days that McManus has had this year in Denver's lackluster offense, and it still barely moved the needle for fantasy purposes. Fantasy managers still playing for a championship in Week 18 should look to avoid the 31-year-old against the Los Angeles Chargers. In the first meeting against the Bolts in Week 6, McManus was solid with three made field goals and a successful extra point.
