Miami Dolphins Sign Chester Rogers

With both Allen Hurns and Albert Wilson opting out of the 2020 NFL season, the Miami Dolphins needed help at wide receiver. They got that help on Sunday, signing former Colts wide receiver Chester Rogers. Rogers won't set the world on fire, but he did have 53 catches for 485 yards in 2018 before dropping off last season. He's clearly not competing with DeVante Parker and Preston Williams for the top roles in Miami, but he could carve out a role as the team's No. 3 receiver. That's probably not a fantasy relevant role, but he could be worth a late pick in best ball formats just in case.

Chester Rogers Suffers Fractured Knee

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Chester Rogers (knee) suffered a likely season-ending fractured knee in the Week 13 loss to the Titans, although he will undergo further testing on Monday to determine the extent of the injury, according to a source. Rogers will finish the 2019 season with a career-low 16 receptions (28 targets) for 179 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games. In a crowded receiver room on a run-first team, Rogers never really had a chance to stick out for fantasy owners. With T.Y. Hilton (calf) missing another game in Week 13, the Colts were forced to roll with Zach Pascal, Marcus Johnson and Ashton Dulin in three-receiver sets. If Hilton misses another game, Pascal and tight end Jack Doyle will have high ceilings against Tampa's inept secondary.

Chester Rogers Injured Against Titans

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Chester Rogers (knee) was injured in Week 13 against the Titans and will miss the rest of the game. With T.Y. Hilton (calf) and Parris Campbell (hand) inactive on Sunday, the Colts are down to just Zach Pascal, Marcus Johnson and Ashton Dulin. Expect them to continue to lean on the ground game with Jonathan Williams and Nyheim Hines. The bad news for anyone that rolled the dice and started Rogers in deep leagues or DFS is that he wasn't targeted at all in the passing game before his injury.
