With Carrier unavailable, Nick Bowers, who had been a healthy scratch for the first fours weeks of the season, will likely be active against the Bears on Sunday afternoon.

The 30-year-old has 57 career catches on 81 targets for 516 yards and three touchdowns in nine NFL seasons with the Raiders, 49ers, Washington, Rams and Eagles. With Darren Waller ahead of him on the depth chart in Las Vegas, Carrier doesn't have a path to fantasy relevance as he sticks with the Raiders for another season.

The Oakland Raiders agreed to a three-year deal with free-agent tight end Derek Carrier on Tuesday, according to a source. Carrier isn't known for his pass-catching skills; he has just 36 receptions in four seasons in the NFL and had just eight catches for 71 yards in 14 games for the Rams in 2017. Jared Cook remains Oakland's main pass-catching tight end, so fantasy owners need not worry about Carrier.
