Gerald Everett News
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett isn't much of a fantasy option in a Week 3 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Everett has only put up nine fantasy points total through two games, and now he faces a Vikings defense that is fourth against opposing tight ends. Meanwhile, they struggle against wide receivers, so it's a safe bet that the Chargers will run the passing game through Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Everett has some season-long upside as the team adjusts into Kellen Moore's offensive scheme that has always featured strong tight end play, but Week 3 is unlikely to be Everett's first big game of the year. He's a middling TE2 option without much upside.
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett made three catches in a Week 2 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans. Everett was targeted three times and made all three catches for 47 yards, including an impressive 29-yard gain in which he broke several tackles and just refused to go down. Everett and Donald Parham Jr. seemed to be splitting opportunities equally in Week 1, but in Week 2 it was more clear that Everett is the top tight end on the depth chart for the Chargers. Still, his weekly upside will remain somewhat capped due to Parham. Everett should remain a high-end TE2 for now.
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett isn't a great option in fantasy lineups for Week 2. Everett had some hype coming out of the preseason since the Chargers would be using a Kellen Moore offense, but Week 1 showed us that the Kellen Moore offense might benefit Donald Parham Jr. a lot more than Everett. It's only one week, so there's still time for Everett to carve out a meaningful role, but after a two catch, 21-yard performance, he'll need to prove something on the field before he should be counted on in fantasy lineups.

In his first season with the Los Angeles Chargers, tight end Gerald Everett exceeded expectations. He had career-highs in targets (87), receptions (58), and receiving yards (555). Everett also put together his best fantasy season, finishing as the TE13 with 139.5 PPR fantasy points. The 28-year-old tight end benefited from both wide receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams missing four-plus games last season. However, with both star wideouts healthy heading into the year and the addition of...
