Veteran free-agent offensive lineman Jon Feliciano signed an undisclosed one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers on Friday, according to a source. Feliciano will re-sign with the defending NFC champions after playing in 16 games (seven starts) for the team during the regular season before helping them advance to the Super Bowl in his first year with the organization in 2023. The 32-year-old came into the league as the Las Vegas Raiders' fourth-round pick in 2015 out of Miami of Florida. He spent the first four years of his career with the Raiders before playing three seasons with the Buffalo Bills and then one season for the New York Giants in 2022. Now that he's back in the Bay Area, expect Feliciano to compete for the team's starting right guard spot in training camp.
The Buffalo Bills released offensive guard Jon Feliciano on Wednesday. Feliciano played in 34 regular season games and made 31 starts for the Bills in his three seasons with the team, but they elected to let him go to save some salary cap space entering the 2022 season. The 30-year-old was selected in the fourth round of the 2015 draft by the Oakland Raiders out of the University of Miami. Before joining the Bills in 2019, Feliciano made eight starts for the Raiders in his first four NFL seasons. If the Bills don't bring him back at a lower cost, they're likely to draft an interior offensive lineman in April to help replace Feliciano.
Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Jon Feliciano was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Sunday morning, so he will not be eligible to play in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers. Offensive lineman Jacob Capra was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game. Feliciano had just returned last week from a calf injury that landed him on Injured Reserve. Before his injury, he had started six games, mostly at left guard, for Buffalo. With Feliciano out against Carolina, Ike Boettger will start at left guard for the Bills offensive line.
