The Green Bay Packers claimed former Los Angeles Rams linebacker Justin Hollins off waivers on Wednesday, according to a source. Hollins was waived by the Rams on Tuesday, and it didn't take much time for him to find a new home. The 26-year-old has 26 tackles (15 solo), three QB hits, one sack, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 10 games (five starts) for the Rams in 2022. The former fifth-rounder will give the Packers some more depth on defense. In his four NFL seasons to this point, Hollins has 97 tackles (59 solo), six tackles for loss, 11 QB hits, seven sacks, three forced fumbles and fumble recovery in 49 games (seven starts).
Justin Hollins Set For Surgery, Will Go On Injured Reserve
Los Angeles Rams linebacker Justin Hollins (pectoral) will undergo surgery Tuesday and is expected to be placed on the injured reserve. After exiting Sunday's Week 3's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he was diagnosed with a partially torn pectoral muscle. The 25-year-old will be placed on the injured reserve and is expected to miss an extended amount of time. Hollins racked up 12 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble over three games in 2021. His absence only hurts the Rams' defense. Terrell Lewis is expected to start at LOLB while Hollins is sidelined.
