Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are signing veteran defensive tackle Linval Joseph, who played with the Buffalo Bills last season. In his return to defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer's system, Joseph will receive $2.5 million guaranteed, potentially earning up to $4 million. Now entering his 15th NFL season, Joseph has previously played for the New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Buffalo Bills. A two-time Pro Bowler from East Carolina, Joseph won a Super Bowl with the 2011 Giants as a starting defensive tackle. Last season, he recorded 12 tackles and one sack in seven games with Buffalo, joining the team as a free agent in early November. This move is part of the Cowboys' effort to strengthen their defensive line during training camp, joining new additions like Jordan Phillips, Carl Lawson, and Al-Quadin Muhammad. The Cowboys' ability to build a formidable line around All-Pro Micah Parsons could make their defense a strong option in fantasy leagues.

Defensive Tackle Linval Joseph Signs With Buffalo
Veteran defensive tackle Linval Joseph has been signed by the Buffalo Bills and placed on the active roster. In a corresponding move, the team sent cornerback Kaiir Elam to injured reserve. Unable to find a trade partner at the deadline, Buffalo instead opted to ink Joseph to a one-year deal. The 34-year-old most recently played for the Philadelphia Eagles and has logged 179 games, 664 tackles, and 25.5 sacks in his career.

Eagles
Linval Joseph To Make Team Debut
Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Linval Joseph is expected to make his team debut against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11. It's a quick turnaround for the veteran tackle, so it's uncertain how much he'll play in this game. Also, the Eagles added Ndamukong Suh to their roster earlier this week. It doesn't sound like Suh is going to play in Week 11, but Joseph will give it a go. The addition of these tackles should help the Eagles rush defense for their postseason run. It's unlikely either player makes a big impact right away as they need to learn a new play. Despite that, Joseph is expected to be on the field in Week 11.

Chargers Place Linval Joseph On COVID-19 List
The Los Angeles Chargers placed defensive tackle Linval Joseph on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday. Joseph is unvaccinated and tested positive for the virus, so he'll need to be quarantined for 10 days and will miss the Week 12 contest against the division-rival Denver Broncos. The 33-year-old joins defensive linemen Jerry Tillery and Christian Covington on the COVID-19 list for the Bolts. Joseph missed the Sunday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and was replaced by Breiden Fehoko on the D-line. Fehoko should get another start this weekend with Joseph ineligible to play.

Chargers Agree With Linval Joseph
The Los Angeles Chargers agreed to a two-year, $17 million deal with former Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Linval Joseph on Wednesday, according to sources. The deal includes another $2 million in incentives. Joseph will help bolster the interior of an already pretty strong Chargers overall defense led by pass-rusher Joey Bosa. The 31-year-old has spent the last six seasons of his career in Minnesota, being named to the Pro Bowl in 2016 and 2017. He had three sacks, 44 tackles (26 solo), six tackles for loss, six QB hits and a forced fumble in 13 games in 2019 for the Vikes. You should be happy if you own LA's defense/special teams this year.

Vikings
Linval Joseph Set To Return Monday Night
Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Linval Joseph (knee) will be available to play on Monday night against the Seahawks just three weeks removed from surgery on the meniscus in his right knee. Joseph has 31 total tackles, three sacks and a forced fumble in his nine games with Minnesota this year. His presence in the trenches on Monday is bad news for both Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny. Carson fumbled two more times in Week 13 and comes into this one as more of a risky RB2 in danger of losing more touches to Penny.

Linval Joseph A Full Participant At Practice
Minnesota Vikings run-stuffing defensive tackle Linval Joseph was a full participant in practice on Tuesday, his first full practice since recovering from offseason surgery. Joseph is an elite interior defender, and his return undoubtedly boosts the prospects of the Vikings defense. This is a deep and talented defensive roster at all three levels with lots of experience. They've been a very consistent fantasy unit during coach Zimmer's entire run, finishing 10th, 8th, 1st, 12th, and 6th in total fantasy points from 2014-2018. Though it is still the preseason, the Vikings held the Seattle Seahawks to just 221 total yards in Week 2's 25-19 victory. The Vikings are being drafted as DEF6 currently, but it may be wise to target them a bit higher. Look for Zimmer to dial up the pressure (slightly) in the Week 3 tune-up on Saturday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Linval Joseph Becomes Latest Vikings Defensive Player To Receive Extension
The Minnesota Vikings continue to lock up their core defensive players, as they signed defensive lineman Linval Joseph to a contract extension Saturday. He joins teammates Everson Griffin and Xavier Rhodes who signed extensions in recent weeks. The Vikings pride themselves on being one of the best defenses in the league. Maintaining their core group elevates them into being one of the more coveted defenses and special teams units in the league.
