Mike Wallace, Shelton Gibson Questionable

Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers Mike Wallace (ankle) and Shelton Gibson (hamstring) are both questionable against the Saints on Sunday for the divisional round. Wallace was limited in practice all week, while Gibson was added to the injury report on Friday. Wallace fractured his leg in Week 2 and hasn't played since, so he'd likely be on a limited snap count this weekend even if he's active. Philly's top three receivers on Sunday will be Alshon Jeffery, Golden Tate and Nelson Agholor regardless.

Mike Wallace Remains Day-To-Day

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said wide receiver Mike Wallace (leg) remains day-to-day. Wallace was activated off Injured Reserve after breaking his leg early in the season. He was limited in practices last week but was inactive in the wild-card win over the Bears. Even if Wallace is active in the divisional round against the Saints, he'd be the No. 4 or 5 receiver, at best. It's highly unlikely that the veteran deep threat will be of use in DFS in the postseason.

Carson Wentz, Mike Wallace Officially Out This Weekend

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz (back) and wide receiver Mike Wallace (ankle) have both been ruled out for the wild-card game against the Bears on Sunday. The Eagles are holding out hope that Wentz will be cleared at some point if the team advances, but it's looking like more of a long shot at this point. Nick Foles will continue to start in the meantime, but he's a weak fantasy play this weekend against a tough Bears defense on the road. Wallace hasn't played since Week 2 and is also unlikely to make an impact if the Eagles keep playing in the postseason.

Eagles Activate Mike Wallace

The Philadelphia Eagles activated wide receiver Mike Wallace (leg) from Injured Reserve on Monday. He fractured his fibula against the Buccaneers on Sept. 16 and hasn't played since. The veteran deep threat had no catches on three targets in his two games with the Eagles this year but had a 1,000-yard season as recently as 2016 with Baltimore. However, he's unlikely to see many snaps if he plays in Week 17 against the Redskins, so fantasy owners shouldn't be looking his way at all.

Mike Wallace Returning To Practice

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Mike Wallace (leg), who has been on Injured Reserve with a broken leg, will take part in individual drills in practice this week. Wallace hasn't played since Sept. 16 and didn't have a catch on three targets in his two games. It's a long shot that the Eagles will even make the playoffs, let alone have Wallace available to them in the playoffs. The 32-year-old is a deep threat that has lost a lot of his game-breaking speed.

Mike Wallace No Longer In Walking Boot

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Mike Wallace (leg) said he had his walking boot removed two days ago, but he isn't running yet. There remains no timetable for his return. Wallace broke his fibula earlier this year and is no lock to return to the Eagles. Even if he does, it's highly unlikely that he'll be of any use to fantasy owners in the fantasy playoffs as an extremely volatile boom-or-bust deep threat.

Mike Wallace Could Return This Year

The Philadelphia Eagles are holding out hope that wide receiver Mike Wallace (leg), who fractured his fibula in Week 2, will be able to return this year. Wallace wouldn't be eligible to return until Week 11 against the Saints after being put on Injured Reserve. Both Mack Hollins and Richard Rodgers are eligible to return from their injuries before Wallace, and the team is only allowed to bring two players back from the IR. Without Wallace, the team has had trouble finding a consistent deep threat. Wallace needs to remain on the waiver wire in all leagues, as it's not a lock he'll be back.

Mike Wallace Placed On IR

The Philadelphia Eagles placed wide receiver Mike Wallace (leg) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday with a fractured fibula. In a corresponding move, the Eagles signed receiver Jordan Matthews. Matthews has dealt with a hamstring injury and was cut by the Patriots, but he has 117 targets (led the team) from quarterback Carson Wentz in 2016. Matthews also had 73 catches for 804 yards that season, and he averages 11.3 yards per catch in his career. While Matthews' addition gives the team much-needed depth behind Nelson Agholor with Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) still out, he's not a realistic fantasy starting option this weekend. Wallace could be back after eight weeks, but it seems likely that his season is over.

Mike Wallace Suffers Broken Leg

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Mike Wallace (leg) broke his fibula in Week 2 against the Buccaneers and "will miss the next few weeks," according to head coach Doug Pederson. The team will not place Wallace on Injured Reserve for now while they do more tests. Typically this is an injury that would end your season, but the Eagles might just be waiting for more details. We don't expect Wallace to be back in a couple of weeks, and you can likely drop him already in most leagues. He has zero catches on three targets this season. In his absence, Nelson Agholor becomes an even stronger option with quarterback Carson Wentz (knee) returning in Week 3, at least until Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is back. Shelton Gibson, Kamar Aiken and Deandre Carter must all step up behind Agholor until Jeffery returns. Tight end Zach Ertz will also continue to be heavily targeted and is an elite TE1.

Jay Ajayi, Mike Wallace Injured Sunday

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jay Ajayi (back) and wide receiver Mike Wallace (ankle) were both injured in Week 2 against the Buccaneers. Wallace has been ruled out, while Ajayi is questionable to return. Left tackle Jason Peters is also questionable with a quadriceps injury. Wallace's injury didn't look good, as he was helped off the field by trainers and carted to the locker room. The veteran wideout could be out for a while, but stay tuned for updates on the severity of his injury. With Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) still out, Nelson Agholor, Kamar Aiken, Shelton Gibson and Deandre Carter are the team's receivers. Ajayi had a carry for a seven-yard loss before leaving, but he has returned to the sidelines. With Darren Sproles inactive, Corey Clement and Wendell Smallwood will take over the backfield. Stay tuned for an update on Ajayi's status.
