Ndamukong Suh Visits With Dolphins

Free-agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh visited with the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday, according to the league's transaction wire. Suh had no intentions of signing with a team and going through training camp with them this summer, and he remains on the open market while potentially looking to latch on with a contending team if it's the right fit. With only three weeks left in the regular season, the 36-year-old pass-rusher may now think the time is right to join a contending team like the Dolphins for a possible trip to what would be his fourth Super Bowl in the last six seasons. The former second overall pick in 2010 by the Detroit Lions was the Defensive Rookie of the Year in and has been named to five Pro Bowls in 13 NFL campaigns. He played in eight regular season games with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022 and recorded one sack and 10 tackles (four solo).

Ndamukong Suh Unlikely To Sign Before Training Camp

Free-agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh isn't hanging up his cleats this offseason, but he's also unlikely to sign with a new team before training camp begins this summer. "I have no desire to be in a training camp," Suh said. "I will come in and watch and look and give some advice, but when Week 1 happens, I'll be ready." The 36-year-old is entering his 14th NFL season after spending time with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022. Suh didn't join the Eagles last year until November, so he clearly is in no rush to sign with a new organization. His best fits could be a return to the Detroit Lions, with the Seattle Seahawks or with the Baltimore Ravens. The five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro is no longer in peak form obviously, but he can still provide plenty of run-stopping support for a contending team.

Eagles Signing Ndamukong Suh

The Philadelphia Eagles are signing free-agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday, according to sources. The move beefs up Philly's defensive line with a top free agent. On back-to-back days, the Eagles defense has added Suh and Linval Joseph on the defensive side of the ball because of injuries to Fletcher Cox (foot), Jordan Davis (ankle) and Marlon Tuipulotu (undisclosed). The 35-year-old Suh is a five-time Pro Bowler and will add plenty of experience to an already strong Eagles defensive line. He spent the last three years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, recording 14.5 sacks, 64 solo tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 46 QB hits, a forced fumble and five fumble recoveries (two returned for touchdowns).

Ndamukong Suh Not On Browns Radar

Reports that the Cleveland Browns are interested in five-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh appear to be unfounded. They've been linked to him at various points this offseason, but there doesn't seem to be much interest in the 35-year-old free agent. If Cleveland adds a defensive tackle, it could be Sheldon Richardson, who played for the team in 2019 and 2020 before joining the Minnesota Vikings last year instead of taking a big pay cut from the Browns. Richardson is a good locker-room presence and could aid in the development of fourth-round rookie Perrion Winfrey. Cleveland's plan is to see how their young tackles fare in training camp before re-evaluating the interior defensive line room. The Las Vegas Raiders and Minnesota Vikings are in on Suh with training camps right around the corner.

Browns Interested In Ndamukong Suh

The Cleveland Browns are another team interested in free-agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, according to a source. Suh is expected to sign with a team closer to the start of training camps. The Minnesota Vikings and Las Vegas Raiders are two other teams that have talked with Suh. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers aren't expected to re-sign the veteran pass-rusher after they drafted Logan Hall early in this year's draft. The 35-year-old would be an upgrade for Cleveland's defensive line after they lost both Malik Jackson and Malik McDowell in free agency. Suh, a five-time Pro Bowler, tallied six sacks, 27 tackles (15 solo), seven tackles for loss, 13 QB hits and one fumble recovery in 17 regular season games in 2021.

Vikings, Raiders Still Interested In Ndamukong Suh

Free-agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is no longer on the Browns' radar. However, the Raiders and Vikings are still interested in acquiring the veteran's services. The 35-year-old has remained a disruptive presence despite his age, finishing with six sacks in each of his previous two seasons in Tampa. Suh hopes to make his decision before training camp, and while he likely won't be a week-to-week fantasy contributor, he should have more than a few solid showings left in the tank.

Ndamukong Suh Not Expected To Return To Tampa

Free-agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh isn't expected to return to Tampa Bay. After the Buccaneers selected Logan Hall with its first pick of the 2022 NFL Draft, a lack of cap space is why the veteran remains unlikely to make his way back to the team. After beginning his career in Detroit as one of the most potent defensive options in the league, Suh's production regressed significantly over the last few years. While the 35-year-old may have some gas left in the tank, he's not expected to be a consistent producer for IDP fantasy participants, regardless of where he signs. However, Suh should be good for a sack or two here or there throughout the 2022-23 season, assuming he finds a new home before then.

Ndamukong Suh Interested In Returning To Buccaneers

Free-agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh took to Twitter to voice his interest in re-signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The not-so-subtle 35-year-old wrote, "Congrats to Todd Bowles on becoming head coach of a great team that still feels one man light on talent." Suh, of course, was commenting on Bowles' promotion from defensive coordinator to head coach of the Buccaneers. Through 17 games with Tampa Bay's front seven in 2021, the 12-year NFL veteran recorded 27 tackles, six sacks and one fumble recovery.

Ndamukong Suh Activated From COVID-19 List

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers activated defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday. The 34-year-old veteran pass-rusher will be available for the season opener on Thursday night against the Dallas Cowboys. Suh's presence on Tampa's defensive line is bad news for Dallas' offense to open the season. While he's not an elite defensive lineman at this stage of his career, Suh remains an above-average pass-rusher on the interior. He racked up 43 tackles, six sacks, two passes defensed and a forced fumble in 2020. While Suh isn't necessarily much of an IDP asset these days, the Buccaneers defense should be a solid starting unit throughout the season. However, in Week 1 against a strong Cowboys offense, you may want to fade them as more of a low-end starting unit in DFS.

Ndamukong Suh Headed Back To Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to a one-year deal with a maximum value of $10 million on Wednesday, according to a source. Suh's contract will include voidable years to help with this year's salary cap figure. He's spent the last two years in Tampa on one-year deals and has played a key role in the team's transition from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defensive scheme. Suh had 2.5 sacks and four fumble recoveries (two for touchdowns) in 2019. He finished last season with six sacks, one forced fumble and 44 tackles. His 330 plays against double-teams was second to only Aaron Donald, the Defensive Player of the Year. While the 34-year-old can still do damage on an improved Tampa defensive line, he could be in his last NFL season and surely isn't the IDP monster he once was. He's a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro with 64.5 sacks and 563 tackles in 11 NFL seasons.
