Troy Hill News
Veteran cornerback Troy Hill re-signed an undisclosed one-year deal on Monday with the Carolina Panthers, according to a source. Hill, a former undrafted free agent, will return to Carolina's secondary in 2024 after picking up 48 tackles (30 solo), an interception returned for a touchdown, six passes defensed and a forced fumble in 16 games (three starts) in his first year with the team in 2023. The 32-year-old won't be guaranteed a starting role in his return to the organization, but the nine-year NFL veteran will give the Panthers some depth in their secondary nonetheless. In his nine NFL campaigns with the Panthers, Bengals, Rams and Browns, Hill has 382 tackles (281 solo), three sacks, nine interceptions (three returned for touchdowns), 40 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries (one returned for a TD).

Troy Hill Signs With Panthers
Free-agent defensive back Troy Hill has agreed to terms on a deal with the Carolina Panthers. The veteran corner finally finds a home after spending the 2022 campaign with the Los Angeles Rams. Hill recorded 67 tackles, four passes defended, and one interception in 12 games with the Rams last season. He has proven to be a reliable slot corner throughout his career. It's uncertain if Hill is going to start in Carolina, but his presence does give this defense a slight boost.

Raiders Working Out Troy Hill
The Las Vegas Raiders are working out veteran free-agent cornerback Troy Hill on Monday, along with former Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters, according to sources. Hill, who can play both inside and outside, started 12 games for the Los Angeles Rams last year. The Raiders are looking for back-end help before training camp kicks off on Tuesday. The 31-year-old finished last season with 67 tackles (45 solo), an interception and four passes defensed in his 12 starts for the Rams. In his eight NFL seasons, Hill has 334 tackles (251 solo), three sacks, 12 tackles for loss, five QB hits, eight interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), 34 passes defensed, a forced fumble and three fumble recoveries (one for a TD) in 97 games played (55 starts).

Rams Place Troy Hill On Injured Reserve
The Los Angeles Rams have placed cornerback Troy Hill (groin) on the Injured Reserve list, meaning he will miss at least the next four weeks. The 31-year-old had an interception in Week 1 against Josh Allen and the Bills to go with his nine tackles over the first two games. After getting torched by Buffalo in their season-opener, the Rams' defense bounced back in their victory over the Falcons on Sunday. As the defending Super Bowl champions, there are high expectations on both sides of the ball, so getting Hill back healthy will be important for the team.

Troy Hill Has Cervical Neck Sprain
Cleveland Browns cornerback Troy Hill (neck) was released from a Boston-area hospital on Sunday night and was diagnosed with a cervical neck sprain after being taken off the field on a stretcher in the Week 10 blowout loss to the New England Patriots. Hill was scheduled to travel back to Cleveland on Monday. We'd be surprised if the 30-year-old is able to return to action in Week 11 against the Detroit Lions, but we'll monitor his status this week when the Browns return to practice on Wednesday. Hill had movement in his extremities on Sunday night, so that's another good sign for his status moving forward. The 30-year-old is in his first year in Cleveland and has 41 tackles (29 solo) and two sacks in 10 games played (four starts).

Browns Sign Troy Hill To Four-Year Deal
The Cleveland Browns signed former Los Angeles Rams cornerback Troy Hill to a four-year, $24 million deal on Thursday, according to a source. Hill returns to his hometown after scoring three defensive touchdowns last year. Cleveland's defensive overhaul will include Hill and former Rams safety John Johnson III in the secondary. Hill, 29, was ranked as Pro Football Focus' No. 27 cornerback in 2020, and he should be expected to line up in the slot for the Browns. He allowed less than 60 yards in coverage in all but one game last season. In 16 regular season games, Hill had a career-high 77 combined tackles (55 solo), three interceptions (two touchdowns), 10 passes defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries (one touchdown). The Browns defense has some real potential to be a weekly fantasy option.
