Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles running back Tyrion Davis-Price took 12 carries for 56 yards and lost a fumble during the team's 3-26 preseason loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The 23-year-old was given the start on Saturday but has an uphill battle to make the roster with Saquon Barkley, Kenneth Gainwell, and rookie Will Shipley getting a rest to end the preseason. Davis-Price committing a turnover in his lone start likely didn't help his chances of making the final roster. The former San Francisco 49er will likely land on the practice squad if he is cut in the coming weeks leaving the trio of Barkley, Gainwell, and Shipley as locks to make the Week 1 roster.

Tyrion Davis-Price Leads Eagles In Rushing
Philadelphia Eagles running back Tyrion Davis-Price took four carries for 28 yards and caught his lone target for no gain during the team's 14-13 win over the New England Patriots. The former San Francisco 49er did well with his touches but did not see playing time until late in the game and seems to be far behind Kenneth Gainwell and Will Shipley on the depth chart. The Eagles are looking to find their No. 4 back, and rookie Kendall Minton has been staving off Davis-Price for that final spot. The loser will likely land on the practice squad heading into the regular season. It will be interesting to see who gets in the game first during the Eagles' final preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings next Saturday.

Eagles Sign Tyrion Davis-Price To Futures Deal
The Philadelphia Eagles signed former San Francisco 49ers third-round running back Tyrion Davis-Price to a Reserve/Futures deal on Tuesday, according to his agency. Davis-Price was drafted in 2022 out of LSU but failed to make an impact in the Bay Area in his first two seasons in the league, carrying the ball just 40 times for 120 yards (3.0 yards per carry) and no touchdowns while failing to catch either of his two targets in just seven games played. The 23-year-old played in one game for the Niners last year, rushing the ball six times for 21 yards. In Philly, he'll provide RB depth behind Kenneth Gainwell. D'Andre Swift, Boston Scott and Rashaad Penny are all scheduled to hit free agency next month, so the Eagles' backfield could look considerably different this year.

49ers Waive Tyrion Davis-Price On Tuesday
To make room for new defensive back Logan Ryan, the San Francisco 49ers waived running back Tyrion Davis-Price on Tuesday. Davis-Price, the team's third-round pick in 2022, has played in just one game in 2023 after carrying the ball 34 times for 99 yards and no touchdowns in six games in his rookie season. His lone game for the Niners this year came in the Week 5 blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys. Davis-Price had six carries in that contest for 21 yards while playing just seven total offensive snaps. The 23-year-old running back will now look to latch on with another team as a depth option. Davis-Price was fourth on San Fran's RB depth behind Christian McCaffrey, Elijah Mitchell and Jordan Mason.

Tyrion Davis-Price Earns Roster Spot
San Francisco 49ers running back Tyrion Davis-Price has earned himself a spot on the 53-man roster. The former third-round pick is coming off a disappointing rookie campaign. He rushed 34 times for 99 yards and was held without a touchdown in six games with the 49ers last season. He's expected to be a depth option alongside Jordan Mason (foot) in the backfield. The expectation is that Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell will take a majority of the snaps to begin the season. It's worth noting that the 49ers had plenty of injury problems in the backfield last season. That being said, Davis-Price might end up having a role if the backfield doesn't stay healthy. For now, Davis-Price can be ignored in fantasy formats with the starters healthy.

Tyrion Davis-Price Has Made Second-Year Leap
The Athletic's Matt Barrows writes that San Francisco 49ers running back Tyrion Davis-Price has made a big second-year leap heading into the 2023 season and put on 14 pounds in the offseason after being a third-round selection a year ago. Davis-Price has been quick and explosive and is a much better pass-catcher than he was as a rookie. However, he's behind Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell on the team's RB depth chart, and he might also be behind Jordan Mason. Barrows thinks Davis-Price is still worth a late-round fantasy selection because of how excellent a runner he is. Mason dominated playing time with the first-team offense in the team's preseason finale on Friday night, so the 22-year-old Davis-Price might be ticketed for the practice squad to begin the regular season.

Tyrion Davis-Price Leads 49ers Rushing Attack On Friday
San Francisco 49ers running back Tyrion Davis-Price led his offense in rushing for the second time in three preseason games Friday night. Davis-Price carried 10 times for 61 yards in the 23-12 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. He also chipped in 16 yards receiving on two of three targets. While Davis-Price looked great with the 49ers' second unit, his depth-chart competitor Jordan Mason took all of the first-team snaps. Mason, like Davis-Price, averaged over six yards per carry in the game. Davis-Price, a 2022 third-round selection, averaged 2.9 yards per carry in limited action last season. Needing at least one injury in front of him to become fantasy-relevant, Davis-Price is not a lock to make the 49ers Week 1 roster.

Tyrion Davis-Price Leads 49ers Rushing Attack In First Preseason Game
Running back Tyrion Davis-Price paced the 49ers in carries and rushing yards in their 34-7 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. The second-year man out of LSU had nine carries for 29 yards. He was uninvolved in the passing game. Davis-Price figures to be in a battle with Jordan Mason for the third running back spot in San Francisco behind Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell, both of whom were inactive. Davis-Price is off the fantasy radar barring injuries to McCaffrey or Mitchell.

Tyrion Davis-Price Looks Improved At Training Camp
San Francisco 49ers running backs coach Anthony Lynn said running back Tyrion Davis-Price has been impressive at training camp. According to David Lombardi of The Athletic, Davis-Price has cut fat yet managed to increase his weight to get to about 228 pounds and has looked fast and physical through several practices. The 22-year-old rushed 34 times for just 99 yards (2.9 YPC) as a rookie but looks to bounce back in 2023. He'll start the season firmly behind Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell on the depth chart and will battle Jordan Mason for the RB3 role. He's not on the fantasy radar just yet in 12-team leagues, but an injury or two could force him into action in one of the league's best offenses.

Tyrion Davis-Price Could Have Increased Role
San Francisco 49ers running back Tyrion Davis-Price was often times lost in the shuffle during this past season. He missed time due to a high-ankle sprain, which resulted in him only playing in six games. Despite that, Matt Barrows of The Athletic believes the organization is more enthusiastic about Davis-Price than they were of Trey Sermon. It's no secret that Davis-Price will have a tough path to playing time. Christian McCaffrey will be the lead back with Elijah Mitchell as likely the primary backup. That being said, Davis-Price will probably have to compete with Jordan Mason for the third-string spot. The 49ers saw the injuries pile up last season, so they could very well hang on to Davis-Price because they do see potential in him. However, it's unlikely that he's going to have fantasy value in San Francisco as long as McCaffrey and Mitchell are healthy.
