Zane Gonzalez News
Arizona Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds (ankle) and kicker Zane Gonzalez (back) didn't practice on Wednesday. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said that Edmonds would be a game-time decision in Week 15 against the Eagles on Sunday. Edmonds has had fantasy relevance behind Kenyan Drake this year with 751 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns, and he's yet to miss a game. But he's a much more risky RB3/flex this week for obvious reasons. Drake would have more upside if Edmonds weren't there to take touches from him, while rookies Jonathan Ward and Eno Benjamin would split work as Drake's backup. Gonzalez didn't play last week and is trending in the wrong direction this weekend. It's best to look in another direction for your Week 15 kicking needs.
Arizona Cardinals kicker Zane Gonzalez (back) is inactive for Sunday's meeting with the New York Giants. In his place, veteran Mike Nugent will kick for the Cardinals. Nugent last played in 2019, appearing in four games for the Patriots and making five of his eight field goal attempts. He's been a reliable player in the past, but there are better options available for fantasy managers this week.
Arizona Cardinals kicker Zane Gonzalez (back) is listed as questionable for Week 14 against the Giants. Gonzalez first showed up on the injury report on Friday and was limited in practice. The 25-year-old has a chance to play on Sunday, but fantasy managers that are in the playoffs should look for better options. Gonzalez has made only 72.7 percent of his kicks this year (16-for-22) and has missed just one of his 39 extra points. He currently ranks 16th among all kickers in overall fantasy points through 13 weeks. With Arizona's offense struggling the last couple weeks while quarterback Kyler Murray fights through a nagging shoulder injury, it's best to avoid Gonzalez and go after higher-upside booters.
