Brad Marchand Ready To Go On Tuesday

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand (elbow, groin, abdomen) is ready to jump into the lineup for Tuesday's preseason game against Philadelphia. After recovering from three separate surgeries, the veteran will soak in his first preseason action of the year. The Bruins have two more preseason games scheduled after Tuesday, so Marchand should be nicely up to speed for the start of the regular season. He's bound to continue to play a big role for Boston as a top-six piece and a power-play threat.

Brad Marchand "On Track" For Season Opener

The veteran star isn't available to work with the team at the start of training camp. But Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said on Wednesday that Marchand is "on track" to play in the season opener after having three separate surgeries in the offseason to fix elbow, groin, and abdominal injuries. Marchand turned 36 in May but has continued to plug away with a good scoring rate. Boston needs to win in Game 5 for Marchand to have a chance to return this postseason. The team continues to consider him as day-to-day. Brad Marchand Starting To Heat Up Again

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand finished Wednesday's heavy 6-1 defeat against the Panthers with one assist. The veteran linked up with Pavel Zacha to set up Charlie Coyle for his first postseason goal. Boston won the opening period 1-0 but got outworked for the rest of the game. Marchand is showing signs of life again, collecting assists in each of the first two games of the second-round series. After enjoying a spectacular start to the playoffs with eight points in four games, Marchand went scoreless in the final three contests of the first round against Toronto. Despite the slump, the Bruins captain still sits among the postseason top scorers with 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in nine games.

Brad Marchand Racks Up Three Points In Game 3 Victory

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand tallied three points as the team defeated Toronto 4-2 in Game 3 of the first-round series on Wednesday. He did all of his work in the third period, setting up Jake DeBrusk for a power-play goal with 1:07 played and scoring twice. Marchand put the Bruins 3-2 up at the 11:53 mark before notching an empty-netter inside the final minute. The savvy veteran now boasts the third-most three-point efforts in the Stanley Cup Playoffs in franchise history (11). Marchand is flying in the series, having averaged two points per game across three contests. He's sitting on two goals and four assists ahead of Saturday's Game 4.

Brad Marchand Likely To Play Saturday

Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand is likely to suit up for Saturday's contest against the Philadelphia Flyers. The veteran didn't skate on Friday in what was called a maintenance day. "Most likely [going to play]," Bruins bench boss Jim Montgomery said. "I'm not going to say 100 percent. But most likely." The Bruins star has taken a step back offensively by his standards, tallying 27 goals and 62 points on 187 shots across 71 games. He fell below a point per game for the first time in six seasons last year and is set to do so again this season. He had added 91 hits, 64 penalty minutes, 24 power-play points, and a plus-five rating on the season, giving fantasy managers excellent production across the board.

Brad Marchand Scores First Natural Hat Trick

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand recorded the first natural hat trick of his career and the sixth overall in Sunday's 3-1 victory over Columbus. The Bruins were facing a surprising loss against one of the poorest teams in the league as they entered the final frame with a 1-0 deficit, but Marchand quickly knotted things up in the third and added a pair of power-play goals to make it three wins in a row for Boston. Following a five-game dry spell, Marchand came alive again over the weekend, scoring four times in two games. The veteran has continued to post good numbers in Year 15, boasting 11 goals and 12 assists through 24 appearances.

Brad Marchand Produces Another Multi-Point Performance

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand kept his recent hot streak going on Saturday with a pair of power-play assists in a 5-2 victory over Montreal. Charlie McAvoy and James van Riemsdyk produced the goals as Marchand registered his third multi-point outing of a five-game scoring streak. He has posted two goals and six assists during the run, boosting his points tally for the year to 18. Brad Marchand Racks Up Three Points Against Kings

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand led the way as the team defeated the Los Angeles Kings in their own barn 4-2 on Saturday. Marchan provided half of the goals, adding a power-play assist. The gritty veteran led all Bruins forwards with 20:43 of ice time, and he finished with a plus-two rating while firing five shots on goal and delivering one hit. This is the 15th campaign for Marchand with the Bruins, but he's showing no signs of slowing down and has opened the new season with a four-game point streak, bagging three goals and three assists.

Brad Marchand Named Bruins Captain

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand will take over the captain's duties on the team. The 35-year-old becomes the 27th captain in franchise history. Marchand takes over the role from Patrice Bergeron, who retired this offseason and had been the Bruins captain for three years. The veteran winger, who has spent his entire 15-year NHL career in Boston, has been an alternate captain on the team for the last five seasons. There have been some great role models for Marchand as captains in Beantown, with Zdeno Chara preceding Bergeron, and he should thrive in the role.

Brad Marchand Hands Out Four Assists Friday

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand posted four assists in Friday's high-scoring 7-5 loss to the Panthers. The veteran dished out three of his helpers with the man advantage, but Boston's defense had an unusually bad night at the office and this means that we get a Game 7 in the series on Sunday. We can expect a big performance for Marchand on Sunday, as he has yet to go without a point in the series and sits among the most productive players in these playoffs with 10 points.

Brad Marchand Extends Home Postseason Goal Streak

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand scored a goal and had an assist - both on the power play - in Wednesday's 4-3 Game 5 loss to Florida. He scored the team's first goal, netting in an eighth consecutive home playoff game, and bagged his assist when Patrice Bergeron made it a scoring 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs debut for himself. Marchand became only the fourth player in NHL history to score at least once in eight straight home postseason games. The veteran has notched four goals in total these playoffs, and Florida has yet to figure out how to keep him off the score sheet, with Marchand grabbing at least one point from each of the five games in the series and sitting on six points overall.

Brad Marchand Ends Scoring Drought On Tuesday

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand put a stop to a seven-game run without a single point Tuesday against Washington, producing a goal and two assists in a 5-2 victory. Two of Marchand's points came on the power play as the Bruins set another all-time record by reaching 133 points for the campaign. Marchand has contributed 21 goals and 45 assists in 72 games during the historic season. The team went 6-1-0 during Marchand's drought, which shows how well the Bruins have been playing as a team and why they are the overwhelming favorites to go all the way this year.

Brad Marchand Tallies Three Assists Saturday

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand was busy in the assists department on Saturday against Minnesota, completing a 5-2 victory with three helpers. Jake DeBrusk, Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak were the scorers, with the latter lighting the lamp on the power play. Marchan has struggled to grow his points tally lately and had notched only three points across his previous seven March appearances, but this should get him going again. The pesky winger has recorded 20 goals and 39 assists in 60 games for the season.
