Brad Marchand Stays Hot in Vegas

Florida Panthers winger Brad Marchand recorded a goal and an assist in a 3-2 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday. The veteran potted Florida's second goal and notched a power-play assist when Sam Reinhart produced the game-winning tally. Marchand scored in a fifth consecutive game, marking his best goal streak in a decade. During his 17-year NHL career, Marchand has had a longer goal streak only once -- a seven-game run in 2015-16. The 37-year-old really has turned back the clock this season, going scoreless only twice in 15 appearances and leading his team in all the main offensive categories. Marchand has racked up 18 points with 11 goals and seven assists. Another two points will give him 1,000 for his career.

Brad Marchand on Track to Return Saturday

Florida Panthers winger Brad Marchand (personal) is set to rejoin the team for Saturday's contest against the Dallas Stars. Earlier this week, he took a leave of absence for personal reasons. Marchand has been on fire this season, leading the Panthers with 11 points (five goals, six assists) in 10 appearances. In Marchand's absence, Mackie Samoskevich skated on the second line during Tuesday's game against the Anaheim Ducks. For Saturday's matchup, Samoskevich will move down in the lineup, but he remains a player to watch in fantasy leagues. The 22-year-old features heaviliy on the power play and is currently Florida's third-leading scorer, with seven points (two goals and five assists) in 11 games.

Brad Marchand Won't Play on Tuesday

Florida Panthers winger Brad Marchand (personal) will not be in the lineup on Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports. The veteran forward has left the team to attend a family funeral. Marchand has turned back the clock in 2025-26, leading his team in all the main offensive categories. In 10 outings, he has amassed five goals and six assists. Mackie Samoskevich is expected to take Marchand's place on the second line Tuesday night. Despite averaging only 14:40 of ice time, Samoskevich is the third-highest scoring Panther this season, with six points (two goals, four assists) in 10 games. With more usage, he could become an even bigger offensive threat.

Brad Marchand Delivers Two Assists on Special Night

Florida Panthers winger Brad Marchand played a key role in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over the Boston Bruins, assisting on two goals in his first game back in Boston after leaving the team last season. Just 1:01 into the game, Marchand recorded a power-play assist on a goal by Mackie Samoskevich. He also helped Eetu Luostarinen score Florida's third goal midway through the third period. Since leaving Boston, Marchand has found a new lease of life and is currently Florida's top scorer with eight points (three goals, five assists) in as many games. He needs just 12 more points to reach 1,000 for his career.

Brad Marchand Lands Six-Year Extension

Florida Panthers left wing Brad Marchand is set to sign a six-year extension with the team. After arriving from Boston midseason, Marchand proved to be an excellent fit for the Panthers, and the team will retain him with a contract that has an average annual value of $5.25 million. It's a significant deal for Marchand, considering he turned 37 in May. Marchand had his 10th straight season with at least 50 points this season and contributed 10 goals and 10 assists in 23 games during Florida's second consecutive successful Stanley Cup run. The veteran forward still seems to have plenty of gas left in the tank.

Brad Marchand Pots Two Goals in Game 5 Victory

Florida Panthers left wing Brad Marchand continued his outstanding Finals series against the Edmonton Oilers with a two-goal performance in Saturday's 5-2 win. The veteran forward opened the scoring 9:12 into the game and grabbed the game-winning goal with 5:12 played in the third period. Marchand has now produced six goals against the Oilers; only seven players in NHL history have managed more during the championship series. He is the first player to score at least five goals in two separate Stanley Cup Finals with two different teams. Opponents have struggled against Florida's third line throughout the postseason, and it was another highly effective outing for them, as Marchand combined for five points with Eetu Luostarinen and Anton Lundell. The 37-year-old boasts 10 goals and 20 points in 22 postseason outings overall.

The veteran forward opened the scoring less than a minute into the game, hitting his eighth goal of the postseason. Only Matthew Tkachuk (11) and Dave Lowry (10) have managed more goals during their first playoff campaign with the Panthers. Florida has hit the jackpot with the acquisition of Marchand, who has been one of the team's best players this postseason. With 20 games played, Marchand boasts 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) and 32 hits while carrying a plus-15 rating.

Brad Marchand Bags Three Points In Game 7 Victory

Florida Panthers left wing Brad Marchand continued to terrorize the Toronto Maple Leafs in Sunday's Game 7, notching three points in a 6-1 victory. He scored the game's final goal during an empty-net situation and finished with two assists, becoming the NHL's leader among active players with 10 career Game 7 points. Marchand has been a thorn in the Maple Leafs' side for years and had another successful series against them. Only Gordie Howe (53) has registered more points than Marchand (36) in the playoffs against Toronto. The former Bruins star has been a great addition for the Panthers and is tied for the team lead with 12 points (three goals, nine assists) in 12 games this postseason.

He netted his second goal in these playoffs and now has eight points in as many games. All but one of Marchand's points have come in the last five games. The former Bruin has been a menace to the Maple Leafs throughout his career and has made an impressive start against them in another playoff series. Following Friday's win, Marchand now has 33 career postseason points (12 goals, 21 assists) in 31 games against Toronto, tying Henri Richard for the third most in NHL history.

Brad Marchand Records Second Consecutive Multi-Point Game

Florida Panthers left wing Brad Marchand posted two assists as the team went down 5-4 in Game 1 against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night. Florida struggled to keep pace with Toronto in the game, falling into a 4-1 hole, but Marchand's contributions briefly revitalized the contest in the third period. He assisted Eetu Luostarinen and Uvis Balinskis as the Panthers made it a one-goal game. Marchand has an impressive collection of assists this postseason, setting up six goals in six games; however, he has not found the back of the net himself. The opposition has deprived Marchand of scoring chances, as he has been limited to just six shots on goal.

Brad Marchand Ready For Panthers Debut On Friday

Florida Panthers left wing Brad Marchand (upper body) will make his team debut on Friday against the Utah Hockey Club. The veteran forward has been dealing with an upper-body injury for a few weeks since the Boston Bruins traded him to Florida. Marchand last played on March 1. He is expected to join the second line, working with Sam Bennett and Mackie Samoskevich. Florida will likely provide him with plenty of opportunities on the power play as well. Even at 36, Marchand has remained a productive winger, recording 21 goals and 47 points in 61 games this season.

Brad Marchand Could Make Florida Debut On Friday

Florida Panthers left wing Brad Marchand (upper body) could make his Florida debut on Friday evening. Marchand was acquired by the Panthers during the trade deadline. Marchand has been sidelined due to this injury since the start of March. However, it appears the 36-year-old is nearing a return. Before the injury, Marchand tallied seven points (two goals) over his last eight contests. Through 61 games this season, Marchand has found the back of the net 21 times and added 26 helpers. He has tallied 13 of his points on the power play and added 66 hits with 27 blocked shots. When Marchand is cleared to return, fantasy managers should expect him to play on the top forward unit alongside Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart.

Brad Marchand Expected To Miss Two Weeks

Florida Panthers left wing Brad Marchand (upper body) is expected to miss the next couple of weeks. General manager Bill Zito hopes that Marchand can make his Florida debut during their three-game homestand at the end of the month. On Friday, Marchand was traded from the Boston Bruins to the Panthers in exchange for a 2027 conditional second-round selection that could become a 2028 first-round selection. Marchand has spent his entire NHL career with the Boston Bruins and will now join one of the top Stanley Cup Contenders. This season, Marchand has found the back of the net 21 times and added 26 helpers through 61 games. He has logged 66 hits and 27 blocks. When Marchand is cleared to return, he will have a role in the top-six replacing Matthew Tkachuk (groin) who will not return for the remainder of the regular season.

Brad Marchand Traded To Florida

The Florida Panthers have acquired veteran winger Brad Marchand (upper body) in a trade with the Boston Bruins, who received a 2027 second-round pick that will turn into a 2028 first-round pick if certain conditions are met. Marchand, who turns 37 in May, moves on as a pending unrestricted free agent. He has so far spent his entire career in Boston, becoming the Bruins' captain in 2023. This season, Marchand has recorded 21 goals and 47 points in 61 games. He is currently nursing an upper-body injury, so it will take some time before we see him in a Panthers uniform. Marchand will remain a top-six piece in Florida, effectively replacing Matthew Tkachuk (groin), who has been ruled out for the rest of the regular season.

Brad Marchand Out Week-To-Week

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand (upper body) has been labeled week-to-week by interim head coach Joe Sacco. The Bruins captain will miss a second consecutive game on Tuesday against the Nashville Predators, and the team must continue its playoff push without him for some time. Marchand has stayed productive in his 16th year in the NHL, scoring 21 goals and 47 points in 61 games. Boston promoted Georgii Merkulov to the second line after Marchand was injured last week. The 24-year-old has notched one assist with six shots on goal in five games this season. This marks his only point in nine career appearances.

Brad Marchand Pots Two Goals In Win Over Blackhawks

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand recorded his second multi-goal effort of the season on Wednesday, lighting the lamp twice in a 4-2 road victory at Chicago. The veteran forward did the damage early in the second period, with Marchand's second goal of the contest ending up as the game-winner. Marchand remains among Boston's biggest offensive threats, but the 2024-25 campaign might end up being his first in 10 years with fewer than 60 points. He's on 10 goals and 10 assists through 28 games. The 36-year-old is also playing a less physical game, averaging fewer than one hit for the first time in five seasons.

Brad Marchand Ready To Go On Tuesday

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand (elbow, groin, abdomen) is ready to jump into the lineup for Tuesday's preseason game against Philadelphia. After recovering from three separate surgeries, the veteran will soak in his first preseason action of the year. The Bruins have two more preseason games scheduled after Tuesday, so Marchand should be nicely up to speed for the start of the regular season. He's bound to continue to play a big role for Boston as a top-six piece and a power-play threat.

Brad Marchand "On Track" For Season Opener

Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand (elbow, groin, abdominal) is expected to be good to go for the team's regular-season opener on Oct. 8 versus Florida. The veteran star isn't available to work with the team at the start of training camp. But Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said on Wednesday that Marchand is "on track" to play in the season opener after having three separate surgeries in the offseason to fix elbow, groin, and abdominal injuries. Marchand turned 36 in May but has continued to plug away with a good scoring rate. He was nearly a point-per-game player in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs and registered 67 points (29 goals, 38 assists) in 82 regular-season appearances last season.
