Brandt Clarke Scores First Career NHL Goal In Victory

Los Angeles Kings defenseman Brandt Clarke scored his first career NHL goal in Saturday's 5-4 overtime victory against the Bruins. The young defenseman got a breakaway after exiting the penalty box and scored with 27 seconds left in the extra frame to complete the comeback victory for the Kings, who scored the equalizing goal with under two minutes remaining in the third period. The 21-year-old has totaled eight goals and 33 points through 32 games with the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League and the former eighth overall pick of the 2021 NHL Draft is worth rostering in dynasty leagues.

Brandt Clarke Called Up To Kings

Los Angeles Kings top defense prospect Brandt Clarke was called up from AHL Ontario on Wednesday. Clarke played nine games for the Kings last season, putting up two assists in a limited role. What role the number eight overall pick in the 2021 NHL draft has this time remains to be seen, but after putting up 32 points (seven goals, 25 assists) in 30 games in the AHL, he could be given a shot at some powerplay time. He doesn't need to be rostered in redraft leagues right now, but he should be owned in all dynasty leagues as he figures to be a big part of the Kings' future.
