Calle Jarnkrok Practices Friday

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok (hand) practiced with the team on Friday and is a possibility for Game 1 of the postseason Saturday versus the rival Boston Bruins. The veteran has been sidelined since suffering his second hand injury of the season in a 6-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on March 14. Jarnkrok missed time earlier in the season with a broken knuckle suffered when he was hit on the hand by a shot in practice. The Swede has recorded 10 goals and 21 points on 92 shots on goal across 52 games this season after posting career highs with 20 goals and 39 points in his first season with the Leafs in 2022-23.

Calle Jarnkrok Questionable For Game 1

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok (hand) is "not ready to play" and is questionable for Game 1 of the postseason, according to head coach Sheldon Keefe. The veteran has been out since injuring his hand for the second time this season during a 6-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on March 14. The versatile Swede has recorded 10 goals and 21 points across 52 games on the season after notching a career-high 20 goals and 39 points last season, his first with the Maple Leafs. The Leafs are also dealing with injuries to Bobby McMann and Max Domi up front, both of whom will also miss the final two games of the regular season.

Calle Jarnkrok Listed As Week-To-Week

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok is listed as week to week with a hand injury, according to head coach Sheldon Keefe. The veteran went into the side boards awkwardly during the second period of Thursday's 6-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers and did not return. Jarnkrok has been promoted to the team's top line alongside Auston Matthews and Tyler Bertuzzi with Mitch Marner out of the lineup but the promotion will be short-lived. The Swede has tallied 10 goals and 21 points in 52 games this season as part of his 14:23 of average ice time per game. He previous missed time this season with a broken knuckle suffered after getting hit with a shot during practice.

Calle Jarnkrok Set To Miss "Some Time"

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok suffered an upper-body injury in Thursday's win over Philadelphia and is expected to miss time. "It looks like he's going to miss some time, but we're not going to know the extent fully until we get back home," said Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe after Thursday's game. Toronto closed out a three-game road trip on Thursday and will host Carolina on Saturday night. Jarnkrok has been a very good asset for the Maple Leafs, recording 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) in 52 games while putting in work throughout the lineup. He started off on the first line versus Philadelphia. With Mitchell Marner (lower body) also missing, multiple top-six positions have opened in Toronto, giving lesser-used players a chance to step up.

Calle Jarnkrok A Possibility Saturday

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok (knuckle) is "a possibility" for Saturday's home game versus the New York Rangers, according to head coach Sheldon Keefe. The winger has been out since breaking his knuckle during practice on Jan. 26. The veteran took part in a full practice with the team on Friday, skating on the third line alongside captain John Tavares. The 32-year-old enjoyed a career year in his first season with the Maple Leafs last season, recording 20 goals and 39 points in 73 games. The middle-six forward has registered 10 goals and 19 points across 46 games this time around, skating 15:18 per night, up from his 14:23 of average ice time a season ago.

Calle Jarnkrok Aiming For Practice Return Next Week

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok is making progress in his return from a broken knuckle and the team is targeting a full practice return next week for the veteran, according to head coach Sheldon Keefe. The 32-year-old suffered the injury in a practice in late January and was visibly frustrated after taking a shot off the hand. The middle-six winger has notched 10 goals and 19 points across 46 games this season after setting career highs with 20 goals and 39 points in his 73 games played last season. His first with the Maple Leafs. Jarnkrok is in the second season of a four-year, $8.4 million deal he signed with the team on July 15, 2022, while the Maple Leafs will carry a seven-game winning streak into Tuesday's game versus the visiting Vegas Golden Knights.

Calle Jarnkrok Injured In Friday's Practice

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok was injured blocking a shot in Friday's practice and was visibly frustrated leaving the ice. Head coach Sheldon Keefe said the team won't know the full extent of his injury until he is assessed. A Swiss Army knife of sorts for the Maple Leafs, Jarnkrok plays a solid 200-foot game and can play up and down the lineup. He has recorded 10 goals and 19 points across 46 games on the season after cracking the 20-goal barrier for the first time in his career last season, his first with the Maple Leafs. His plus-13 rating this season and plus-22 rating in 119 games with the Maple Leafs shows his defensive responsibility while he is able to chip in at the offensive end of the ice, as well.

Calle Jarnkrok A Game-Time Call On Friday

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok is considered a game-time decision for Friday's matchup against Chicago after he was hit with a puck in practice. Jarnkrok would miss his first action of the season if he can't go. Playing mainly on the third line, the Swedish forward has had a solid campaign with nine points (four goals, five assists) in 17 outings. However, Jarnkrok has been ineffective in the most recent games, going three matches without a point and logging a minus-three rating across his last two appearances.

Calle Jarnkrok Practices On Top Line Monday

Toronto Maple Leafs winger Calle Jarnkrok skated on the top line in Monday's practice alongside Mauston Matthews and Mitch Marner. The veteran saw time with the top unit late in Saturday's come-from-behind win over the Tampa Bay Lightning and appears to be in line for top duty when the club takes on the Washington Capitals on Tuesday. The 32-year-old also saw time with Matthews last season when he recorded a career-high 20 goals and 39 points while skating in 73 contests. Jarnkrok has managed a goal and an assist across the first five games this season while skating 14:57 in average ice time. Given his new look, it's likely Jarnkrok's ice time will increase but he will remain off the fantasy radar for the time being.

Calle Jarnkrok Unavailable Saturday

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok is considered day-to-day with an undisclosed injury and won't play Saturday against Montreal. The 31-year-old comes out of the lineup after going scoreless in seven of the last nine games. He's not had a great time in recent weeks, but Jarnkrok has been a good pickup for the Maple Leafs. The Swedish forward featured heavily in the top six early in the season and has had a career year with 37 points in 71 games. Wayne Simmonds will take Jarnkrok's place in the lineup Saturday.

Calle Jarnkrok Plays A Key Role In Tuesday's Victory

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok put in a huge performance against St. Louis on Tuesday, pushing the team to a 5-4 overtime victory with a goal and two assists. One of his helpers came in a short-handed situation. The Swedish forward now has an impressive five points in three games since returning from a groin injury. He's found himself on a line with John Tavares and Mitchell Marner, and Jarnkrok has taken full advantage of the opportunity. Jarnkrok has also been on the second power-play unit, so the 31-year-old currently looks like a great pickup for managers who lack options.

Calle Jarnkrok Out For At Least Two Weeks

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok (groin) will miss at least two weeks of action. He got hurt in Wednesday's win over San Jose and it looks like the team won't count on him for at least six games. Prior to getting injured, Jarnkrok was enjoying some good form and had joined the second line. He has tallied five goals and four assists in 25 games this year. Nicholas Robertson rejoined John Tavares and Mitchell Marner on the second line in Friday's practice. The 21-year-old has struggled to stay in the lineup this season and looks set to skate for only the third time in 10 games on Saturday versus Tampa. Robertson, who boasts five points from 12 games this season, is an intriguing fantasy piece, but there's no point in having him on the roster if he hasn't nailed down a spot in the lineup.

Calle Jarnkrok Sustains A Groin Injury

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok made an early exit Wednesday versus San Jose and will be unavailable for a bit with a groin injury. The team hasn't yet provided a particular timeline for his return, but head coach Sheldon Keefe has been quoted saying that Jarnkrok will miss "some time". It's a very unfortunate turn of events for the Swedish forward, as he had just found himself skating with John Tavares and the red-hot Mitchell Marner on the second line. Jarnkrok entered Wednesday's matchup riding a three-game point streak. His numbers for the whole season include five goals and four assists in 25 games.

Calle Jarnkrok Signs Four-Year Deal With Maple Leafs

The Maple Leafs have signed forward Calle Jarnkrok to a four-year, $8.4 million contract, with an average annual value of $2.1 million. The 30-year-old spent the 2021-22 NHL season with the Seattle Kraken and Calgary Flames, while totaling 12 goals, 18 assists and 30 points through 66 games in the regular season. Jarnkrok added four points in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games, and his postseason experience will benefit the team as he has been in the Playoffs each year since 2015 as a long-time member of the Nashville Predators. Jarnkrok has a chance to set career-highs in goals, assists and points as he joins a dynamic offensive team with the Maple Leafs.

Calle Jarnkrok Extends Point Streak To Three Games Saturday

Seattle Kraken center Calle Jarnkrok continued his hot streak with another goal on Saturday versus the Vancouver Canucks. Jarnkrok waited until the second period to extend his point streak to three. He struck midway into the stanza to get the Kraken on the board. Carson Soucy set Jarnkrok up for the tally while Yanni Gourde got the play started. Jarnkrok now has seven points in his last five games. That upped his point total into double digits on the season in 22 contests. Jarnkrok is a streaky player that is owned in way less than half of all fantasy leagues.

Calle Jarnkrok Continues Strong Run On Thursday

Seattle Kraken center Calle Jarnkrok continued his hot play against the Calgary Flames on Thursday night. He scored once then chipped in with two assists in defeat. Jarnkrok scored on the man advantage to give Seattle a 2-1 lead at the time. That goal was sandwiched by secondary assists. His helper on the Yanni Gourde goal tied the proceedings at 3 early in the third period. Jarnkrok now has seven points in his last six games after a very slow start that featured no goals. The forward now has three goals and six assists in 21 games. If he can stay healthy, Jarnkrok could be a sneaky and streaky add on fantasy rosters.

Calle Jarnkrok Notches Goal And Assist Tuesday

Seattle Kraken center Calle Jarnkrok figured in the scoring for a second straight game on Tuesday. This time, the forward assisted on the Brandon Tanev game winner late in the third period. If that was not enough, Jarnkrok sealed the game with an empty-net goal to make the final margin 3-1. It has been a rough season for the Seattle forward to say the least. All five of his points have come in the last five games. Jarnkrok is a notoriously streaky player from his days in Nashville but keep in mind, he missed two weeks of action in between this run. Jarnkrok's lower shot volume is a risk but in deeper leagues, the forward is worth that risk.

Calle Jarnkrok In Line For Expanded Role With Kraken

The Seattle Kraken selected forward Calle Jarnkrok from the Nashville Predators during the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft on Wednesday. The versatile forward was chosen over the likes of Ryan Johansen, 28, and Matt Duchene, 30. Those two veteran players have shown scoring touches in the past but are both signed to lengthy contracts with $8 million AAVs. Jarnkrok, meanwhile, is 29 and signed for just one more season at $2 million. He will then become an unrestricted free agent. Last season, the native of Sweden scored 13 goals and recorded 28 points in 49 games. He can play all three forward positions and could see time on the first line for Seattle especially with Yanni Gourde sidelined for up to two months of the regular season due to shoulder surgery. Jarnkrok could be a fantasy sleeper.

Calle Jarnkrok Stays Productive With His 13th Goal

Nashville Predators winger Calle Jarnkrok scored his 13th goal of the season in Wednesday's 4-2 loss against Columbus to keep up his recent good form. The Swedish forward has collected seven points across the last eight games as Nashville battles for a playoff berth. He's been held off the scoresheet just once in the past six games to get up to 27 points for the year. Jarnkrok, who skates on the second line with Mikael Granlund and Luke Kunin, will finish the week on Saturday with a home game against Carolina.

Calle Jarnkrok Explodes For Four Points

Nashville Predators forward Calle Jarnkrok went off for four points in Monday's 4-1 victory over Tampa, posting a short-handed goal and three assists. Mattias Ekholm enjoyed a two-point game with one goal and one assist. Jarnkrok pushed his points tally for the year up to 13, boasting seven goals and six assists. The 29-year-old has worked his way up to the second line and he's also seeing some power-play time, so fantasy managers in deep leagues might want to monitor him. The Predators have three more games this week.
