The Chicago Blackhawks traded away forwards Mattias Janmark and Carl Soderberg on Monday and also shipped out depth pieces Matthew Highmore and Madison Bowey. In came a host of draft picks, Adam Gaudette, Josh Dickinson and Ryder Rolston. Janmark landed in Vegas while Soderberg rejoined Colorado. The Blackhawks were very active in the trade market and will have a new look going forward. The refreshed lineup will roll out for the first time on Monday against Columbus. Younger guys like Dylan Strome, Pius Suter and Philipp Kurashev all have a chance to earn more minutes with veterans out of town.

Chicago Blackhawks forward Carl Soderberg will make his team debut on Sunday against Detroit, replacing Lucas Wallmark in the lineup. The 35-year-old veteran signed a one-year, $1 million deal with the Hawks for the season and he'll provide some good two-way play for the team. Soderberg has managed 30 total goals for Colorado and Arizona in the past two seasons, so he's a scoring threat while also eating up minutes on the checking line and on the penalty kill. As a former Bruin, Soderberg has faced the Red Wings a lot, collecting 12 points in 16 career appearances against them.
