Jonathan Huberdeau Guns Down Flyers

Calgary Flames forward Jonathan Huberdeau provided both goals in Sunday's 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. He scored with his only two shots on goal, netting early in the second and third periods. Huberdeau's time in Calgary has been difficult, but he currently boasts one of his best point streaks as a Flame. He has managed at least one point in five consecutive outings, which marks his second-longest scoring run with the Flames. Last season, Huberdeau put together a pair of six-game streaks. Through nine appearances, Huberdeau has posted seven points (four goals, three assists) this season. The team has begun to recover from a poor start, helping several players, including Huberdeau, to improve their productivity.

Jonathan Huberdeau Set for Season Debut Saturday

Calgary Flames forward Jonathan Huberdeau (undisclosed) was activated from Injured Reserve on Friday and is poised to make his season debut in Saturday's contest against the Vegas Golden Knights. In a corresponding move, the Flames reassigned Matvei Gridin to the AHL. During Friday's practice, Huberdeau skated on the first line alongside Nazem Kadri and Joel Farabee. He is also expected to join the first power-play unit if he plays against Vegas. Although Huberdeau's time in Calgary has been difficult, he showed signs of life last term, scoring 28 goals and 62 points in 81 outings.

Jonathan Huberdeau Begins Season on Injured Reserve

Calgary Flames left wing Jonathan Huberdeau (undisclosed) has been placed on Injured Reserve ahead of Wednesday's season opener against the Edmonton Oilers. This makes him unavailable for the game. However, Huberdeau is eligible to return to the lineup for Thursday's clash with the Vancouver Canucks. Huberdeau is nursing an undisclosed injury after colliding with Canucks goaltender Kevin Lankinen in a preseason game. Huberdeau's absence is set to give Joel Farabee a first-line role on opening night. Farabee struggled massively last season but has seen offensive success in the league. Only two seasons ago, Farabee had 22 goals and 50 points with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Jonathan Huberdeau Remains Under Evaluation

Calgary Flames left wing Jonathan Huberdeau (undisclosed) is still being evaluated after getting hurt in Wednesday's preseason game against the Vancouver Canucks, general manager Craig Conroy told reporters on Thursday. Huberdeau was injured late in the game when he collided with Canucks goaltender Kevin Lankinen. Losing Huberdeau long-term would be an unexpected blow for the Flames, as the 32-year-old has missed only a handful of games over the past four seasons. He was available for 81 contests last season, posting 62 points (28 goals, 34 assists). Connor Zary may start the campaign as a member of the top six if Huberdeau isn't available for opening night. The Flames kick off the year with the Battle of Alberta against the Edmonton Oilers on Oct. 8.

Jonathan Huberdeau Sits Out Regular-Season Finale

Calgary Flames forward Jonathan Huberdeau (rest) is expected to miss Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Kings. The Flames have nothing left to play for, and some players, including Huberdeau, will be held out of the lineup for rest purposes. Following a couple of disappointing 50-point campaigns, Huberdeau improved in 2024-25, finishing the year with 62 points (28 goals, 34 assists) in 81 games. However, he still needs to do much more to justify his eight-year, $84 million contract, the largest in franchise history. With Huberdeau out on Thursday, Aydar Suniev is set to make his NHL debut on the first line.

Jonathan Huberdeau Scores Twice On Saturday

Calgary Flames left wing Jonathan Huberdeau found the back of the net twice during their victory over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday evening. Huberdeau opened the scoring with a tip-in goal in the first period which beat Yaroslav Askarov. Huberdeau would then score his second tally of the evening with an empty-netter to clinch the victory. This performance extended Huberdeau's goal streak to three games and point streak to four games. Huberdeau has only been held off the scoresheet once over his past 11 games. During this impressive stretch, he has tallied 15 points (seven goals, eight helpers). He remains a solid winger and should be started in all formats playing top minutes in the Calgary offense.

Jonathan Huberdeau Looking To Regain Form Next Season

Calgary Flames forward Jonathan Huberdeau has suffered a couple of poor campaigns since moving to Canada, but teammate Ryan Lomberg expects to see him get back to his best. "There's no doubt in my mind that he's gonna get back to the level he was at," Lomberg recently told NHL Network. "I'm excited to help be a part of that solution." Lomberg previously played two seasons with Huberdeau in Florida and will be reunited with him in 2024-25 after signing a two-year deal with the Flames. Huberdeau produced a fantastic 115-point year in 2021-22 but has totaled only 107 points in two seasons since getting traded to Calgary.

Jonathan Huberdeau Posts Three Points In Victory

Calgary Flames left wing Jonathan Huberdeau scored a goal and added two assists in Tuesday's 4-1 victory against the Bruins. Huberdeau recorded a three-point performance for the first time this season, with the forward struggling to find consistency for the majority of the season. Huberdeau has totaled seven goals and 29 points to go along with a minus-14 rating through 49 games, meaning that the former All-Star forward is worth rostering in deeper formats only.

Jonathan Huberdeau Ready To Rock Thursday

Calgary Flames winger Jonathan Huberdeau (illness) will return to the Flames lineup for Thursday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Huberdeau missed Tuesday's game with an illness but appears ready to go now. Although it's been a disappointing two years for the highly-paid forward, Huberdeau has eight points (two goals, six assists) in his last eight games on a new-look line with Elias Lindholm and Yegor Sharangovich. He could be a good speculative add in leagues where he was dropped as we know what he can be when he's at the top of his game.

Jonathan Huberdeau Continues To Heat Up With Another Multi-Point Outing

Calgary Flames forward Jonathan Huberdeau registered a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-3 overtime victory against Seattle. He scored on the power play in the first period and helped to set up Rasmus Andersson for the game-winning goal 3:28 into the extra frame. Huberdeau's struggles in Canada are well documented, but the 30-year-old has hit form lately, logging two multi-point outings in the past three games and posting five points in total. However, a haul of 12 points in 18 games for the season is still disappointing for a player of his caliber.

Jonathan Huberdeau Logs Two Assists Monday

Calgary Flames winger Jonathan Huberdeau played his part in Monday's 5-4 victory over Dallas with two assists. He had his first helper when Nick Ritchie opened the scoring and Huberdeau's second assist came when Tyler Toffoli hit the game-winner with mere seconds remaining in regulation. The 29-year-old hasn't had much reason to celebrate this season and had posted only two points across his previous seven outings. Huberdeau has come to life from time to time, but his overall numbers are very disappointing, with the former 115-point man settling for only 12 goals and 42 points in 61 games during his debut campaign in Calgary.

Jonathan Huberdeau Has His Best Night As A Flame

Calgary Flames left wing Jonathan Huberdeau produced his first three-point performance in the team's colors on Tuesday, logging three assists in a 7-3 victory over San Jose. All of his helpers came late in the game, with Nazem Kadri scoring twice and Milan Lucic also bagging one. Huberdeau is now on 17 assists and 22 points for the whole season. His move to Calgary hasn't worked out well yet, although the 29-year-old has seemingly been improving with each passing week and is averaging close to a point per game in December. New linemates appear to have given Huberdeau a boost, and he will hope to gain further momentum before the holiday break in very favorable matchups against Los Angeles and Anaheim.

Jonathan Huberdeau Officially Back Monday

Calgary Flames left wing Jonathan Huberdeau (foot/upper body) has been trending towards returning to the lineup on Monday versus the Kings and his comeback has now been officially confirmed. He's back in the mix after sitting out three games with two different injuries. Huberdeau hurt his foot a week ago by blocking a shot in a game against the Islanders and he has also been nursing an upper-body problem. Fantasy managers will be hoping that the small break will help Huberdeau to kick-start his season because he's so far recorded only six points in 11 games. The 29-year-old was a point-per-game player last season and he should be able to kick into gear soon. Huberdeau is returning on the third line and his presence will boost the fantasy value of Mikael Backlund and Trevor Lewis.

Jonathan Huberdeau Returns To Practice

Calgary Flames left wing Jonathan Huberdeau (foot) was a full participant in Sunday's practice and looks set to return to action Monday versus L.A. He has sat out three games with a foot injury sustained by blocking a shot. The former Panther has struggled in his first season in Calgary, posting only six points in 11 games. His last seven outings have resulted in only one goal and one assist. Huberdeau will rejoin a side that has just ended a seven-game slide, so hopefully he can start performing better now with the team having regained some confidence. He practiced on the third line with Mikael Backlund and Trevor Lewis, while also working with the first power-play unit.

Jonathan Huberdeau Traded To Flames

The Calgary Flames have acquired forward Jonathan Huberdeau from the Panthers in exchange for forward Matthew Tkachuk. The Flames will also receive defenseman MacKenzie Weegar, forward prospect Cole Schwindt, and a conditional first-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft in the deal. Huberdeau, the former third overall draft pick in 2011, has spent his entire career with the Panthers and put up his best production with 30 goals, 85 assists and 115 points through 80 games this past season. Huberdeau will have a chance to play alongside forward Elias Lindholm in Calgary, and the 29-year-old will be motivated to put up dominant numbers once again as he can become an unrestricted free agent after the 2022-23 NHL season.

The 28-year-old has put together an incredible season, with 30 goals, 78 assists and 108 points through 74 games as a must-start player across all formats.

Jonathan Huberdeau Surpasses 100-Point Mark In Victory

Florida Panthers forward Jonathan Huberdeau finished with five points in Tuesday's 7-6 overtime victory against the Maple Leafs, as he totaled two goals and three assists to go along with the game-winning goal in OT. Huberdeau (26 goals and 76 assists) has now surpassed the 100-point mark for the first time in his NHL career, and he ranks second in points behind only Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid, who has a total of 105 points. Huberdeau has been dominant all season long and he is a must-start player across all fantasy formats to wrap up the season.

Jonathan Huberdeau Sets New Panthers Points Record

Florida Panthers left wing Jonathan Huberdeau posted a new franchise record for most points in a season, scoring the team's opening goal in Sunday's 5-3 victory over Buffalo. He tallied his 24th marker of the campaign and reached 97 points. Aleksander Barkov was the previous record holder with 96 points from 2018-19. Huberdeau has had a magnificent season and teams have managed to keep him pointless just once in his last 15 appearances. He'll try to outshine Auston Matthews next on Tuesday before gearing up for Friday's rematch with the Sabres.

Jonathan Huberdeau Sets NHL Record With 71st Assist

Florida Panthers left wing Jonathan Huberdeau became a history maker with his 71st assist of the season in Thursday's 4-0 win over Chicago. It's the most assists a left wing has had in a single season, former Bruin Joe Juneau was the previous record holder with 70 helpers from 1992-93. Huberdeau bagged his assist on the power play when Aleksander Barkov iced the game in the third period. 26 of his helpers have come with the man advantage and he's notched 30 power-play points in total this season. Huberdeau is now just six points short of a 100-point campaign, and he'll carry a nice six-game point streak into the weekend's juicy matchups against New Jersey and Buffalo.
