Justin Faulk Out For Remainder Of Regular Season

St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk will miss the remainder of the season due to an upper-body injury. Faulk was injured in the second period of a 3-2 overtime loss to the Sharks on Saturday following an altercation with Sharks forward Luke Kunin. He missed a game against the Ducks on Sunday. "I think he's week to week. We want to be cautious with his injury," St. Louis coach Drew Bannister said after practice on Tuesday. Even if this was two months ago, it would still be week to week with him. It is what it is. The veteran has tallied two goals and 30 points in 60 games on the season after posting 11 goals and a career-high 50 points across 82 games a season ago. The Blues sit five points back of the Golden Knights for the second and final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference but Vegas holds a game in hand.

Justin Faulk Injured Versus Sharks

St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk sustained an upper-body injury in Saturday's contest against San Jose. He didn't appear for the third period after being involved in a fight with San Jose's Luke Kunin. Faulk racked up 17 penalty minutes in the contest. He also had three shots, one block, and one hit across 13:20 of action. The 32-year-old has averaged 0.5 points per game, notching two goals and 28 assists in 60 outings. There are also 83 hits and 104 blocks on his account, so Faulk would be missed at both ends of the ice if he's out for a stretch.

Justin Faulk Activated From Long-Term Injured Reserve

The St. Louis Blues have activated defenseman Justin Faulk (lower body) from long-term Injured Reserve. The veteran blue-liner has missed the past 12 games due to a lower-body injury but is back in time for a divisional clash with the Winnipeg Jets on Monday. Faulk also missed five games earlier in the season with a separate lower-body ailment. The 13-year veteran's production has taken a sizeable dip this season following a career-best 50 points in all 82 games last season. Faulk has just two goals and 19 points in 40 games on the season to go along with 90 shots on goal, 52 hits, 77 blocks, and a minus-five rating. The Blues enter Monday's contest with Winnipeg at 30-25-2, good for fifth place in the Central Division and 15 points back of the Jets.

Justin Faulk Rejoins Blues Lineup Saturday

St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk (lower body) will return to action on Saturday against Boston. Following a five-game absence, Faulk was activated from Injured Reserve on Friday, and his return will bump Marco Scandella out of the lineup. Faulk has been a two-way force for St. Louis, with 17 points (two goals, 15 assists), 82 shots, 45 hits, and 68 blocks registered across 35 games. He's slated to skate with Scott Perunovich on the third defensive pairing.

Justin Faulk Sits Out Saturday's Game

St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk (lower body) will sit out Saturday's meeting with the Penguins. The versatile blue-liner will be unavailable for the first time this season after getting hurt in the previous game against Colorado. Faulk leads the Blues' backline with 17 points (two goals, 15 assists) and 45 hits in 35 games and has also tallied 68 blocks while registering 82 shots on goal. Tyler Tucker is expected to fill Faulk's spot in the lineup on Saturday, while Scott Perunovich could play a bigger role.

Justin Faulk Expected To Return To Practice Thursday

St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk is expected to return to the ice for practice Thursday after sustaining a lower-body injury during the second period of Tuesday's preseason contest versus the Columbus Blue Jackets. Faulk went hard into the end wall late in the second period on Tuesday and did not return for the third frame. The veteran blueliner enjoyed a career year in 2022-23, tallying 11 goals and a career-high 50 points while skating in all 82 regular-season games. He also recorded 196 shots, 140 blocks, 112 hits, and 34 penalty minutes while averaging 23:23 of ice time per game. He is an excellent cross-category fantasy contributor, although he's unlikely to see first-unit power-play minutes with Torey Krug (foot) hoping to be ready for opening night.

Justin Faulk Exits Preseason Contest With Injury

St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk failed to complete Tuesday's preseason game against Columbus after picking up a lower-body injury. He was forced to exit near the end of the second period. Faulk logged 16:04 of ice time in a 3-2 win and was plus-one with one block. More info on his status is expected on Wednesday. The Blues are already missing Torey Krug (foot) from camp, so Faulk's absence would be another big blow for the defense. In his fourth season in St. Louis, Faulk posted his new career-high with 50 (11 goals, 39 assists) points last season. He's an impactful player at both ends, and his absence would definitely be felt if Faulk is forced to miss time.

Justin Faulk Has Another Productive Night

St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk scored in a third consecutive game and had three points in total as the team dominated against the Islanders with a 6-1 victory on Saturday. He scored his 12th goal of the season 4:05 into the second period and added his 13th just 1:36 later. The period also featured Faulk's 27th assist of the campaign. The 30-year-old blue-liner has been very impressive lately with 11 points collected in seven games. He was only on 29 points for the year before the run started, so Faulk has managed to up his productivity a lot. In the next matchup against Boston, Faulk will have a chance to become only the fourth rearguard in Blues history to score in four consecutive games. Alex Pietrangelo did it last in 2013-14 and the four-game run is a franchise record.

Justin Faulk Registers Three Points Against Flames

St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk produced his first three-point performance of the season on Saturday, finishing a 6-4 victory in Calgary with a goal and two assists. He helped Robert Thomas to score less than a minute into the game and also had an assist in the final minute of play on an Ivan Barbashev goal. Faulk notched his own goal 13:35 into the second period. The 30-year-old blue-liner had a very frustrating month in March with just three points and now already has more points in April after starting the month with an assist in Friday's 6-5 overtime loss to Edmonton. He's on 34 points overall for the season and will enter Monday's very favorable matchup against Arizona carrying a three-game point streak.

Justin Faulk Ends Dry Spell With Two Points

St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk recorded the game-winning goal and picked up an assist in Monday's 5-2 win over the Golden Knights. This was a very nice comeback win for the Blues, who went behind with just 36 seconds played and erased a two-goal deficit. Faulk was a key figure in the effort, adding three shots, two blocks and one hit to his tally with two penalty minutes. He had gone five games without a single point, and his offensive contribution had been limited to just one assist after opening the season with back-to-back two-point nights.

Justin Faulk Completes Multi-Point Night With Game-Winner

St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk enjoyed a multi-point outing on Monday against Los Angeles, scoring a 2-1 game-winner in overtime and delivering one assist. He combined with Jaden Schwartz to help Tyler Bozak on the board. Faulk hasn't done too much throughout the campaign, but with injuries knocking out multiple blueliners, the 29-year-old is having a productive finish to the regular season. He's collected six points in the past five games, upping his tally to 23 points for the whole campaign. The Blues complete the regular season with a back-to-back set against Minnesota, which starts on Wednesday.

Justin Faulk Delivers Two Assists Monday Night

St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk helped set up two goals in Monday's 3-1 win against the Ducks. He tallied a power-play assist on Brayden Schenn's 14th goal of the season and helped Ryan O'Reilly get his 23rd marker of the campaign. Robert Bortuzzo also scored for St. Louis. Faulk hasn't done much this season, as he's posted only 19 points with 50 games played, but the 29-year-old is eating up massive minutes right now with St. Louis' blue line taking a beating by injuries. He sits on first defensive pairing and also logs minutes on the top power-play unit, which makes him an intriguing option for the final few games of the season.

Justin Faulk Has Three Points In Friday's Win

St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk produced a nice three-point performance in Friday's 4-1 win over Arizona, netting a pair of goals and handing out one assist. Brayden Schenn joined him as a multi-point performer with one goal and one assist. Faulk started the scoring with a power-play marker and also registered the eventual game-winning goal. He combined with Schenn to set up Ivan Barbashev for his first goal of the season. Faulk was a major disappointment during his first season in St. Louis when he had only 16 points in 69 games, but he is on his way to a big bounce-back season, as the 28-year-old already boasts eight points and has scored five goals, which puts him among the league's top goal-scoring blueliners.
