Mason Appleton Stats

Winnipeg Jets right wing Mason Appleton (wrist) has undergone surgery and will need 8-12 weeks to recover. He injured his wrist in Sunday's 3-2 win over Seattle. Appleton hasn't done a lot this season, going for one goal and five assists, but he's been a first-liner on a team that has already been without Nikolaj Ehlers (lower body). Sam Gagner is set to take over from Appleton on the line. The veteran forward boasts three goals and two assists for the season, having mostly played fourth-line minutes. He's been a proven scorer in the league and should fit in well on the line.

Winnipeg Jets forward Mason Appleton and his teammates beat the Vancouver Canucks by a score of 2-0 on Friday night. Appleton has played well for the Jets this season. He has recorded five goals and five helpers in 15 games played. The Green Bay, Wisconsin, native has been productive despite playing on the team's third line and not receiving any power-play ice time. Appleton added three shots on goal against the Canucks on Friday. Vancouver hosts Winnipeg again on Sunday.
