Justin Sourdif Fantasy Stats

Washington Capitals center Justin Sourdif signed an eight-year, $50.8 million pact with his team on Tuesday. Washington locked up Sourdif long-term following his encouraging rookie campaign. He finished the 2025-26 season with 35 points (15 goals, 20 assists), 108 SOG, 98 hits, and a plus-17 rating in 78 games. With Washington's frontline loaded with talent, Sourdif may struggle to match his productivity in 2026-27. However, his new deal reflects the organization's belief in his long-term value. Sourdif's new contract will take effect in 2027, after his entry-level deal expires.

Washington Capitals forward Justin Sourdif ended a six-game point drought in style on Monday against the Calgary Flames, recording a goal and two assists in a 7-3 victory. He was elevated to the top line for the game and became only the third Capitals rookie in the past 40 years with multiple three-point games in a season. Despite experiencing an offensive slump in recent weeks, Sourdif is averaging close to 0.5 points per game and holds an impressive plus-15 rating through 61 appearances. He has contributed 13 goals and 16 assists, collecting 25 of his 29 points during even-strength play. Sourdif's offensive production could see major improvement if he partners with Alex Ovechkin for an extended period.

Washington Capitals forward Justin Sourdif (upper body) won't be in the lineup on Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens. He took a puck to the face on Sunday against the Nashville Predators and will sit out at least one game. Sourdif has notched 19 points (nine goals, 10 assists) in 45 contests during his rookie year. Connor McMichael will take over second-line center duties on Tuesday night, while Anthony Beauvillier will move back into the top six. While moving to a scoring line increases Beauvillier's fantasy value, he has only managed 15 points (nine goals, six assists) in 46 appearances this campaign.

Washington Capitals forward Justin Sourdif (upper body) was injured in the second period of Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Nashville Predators. He took a puck to the face, leaving the game after logging only 6:17 of ice time. Sourdif recently matched a Capitals rookie record with five points (three goals, two assists) in a game against the Anaheim Ducks. Overall, he has totaled 19 points (nine goals, 10 assists) in 45 outings, tied for the eighth-most among first-year players. Sourdif has been a regular on the second line, while also skating with the second power-play unit. It's unclear whether Sourdif will be available for Tuesday's tilt against the Montreal Canadiens.
