Luke Glendening News
Dallas Stars forward Luke Glendening is set to return to the Stars' lineup Monday. In Game 6, the 34-year-old was a healthy scratch but will now replace Ty Dellandrea on the Star's fourth line. In the playoffs, he's played in 11 contests accumulating one marker and six shots on goal while carrying a minus-3 rating. During the regular season, the Grand Rapids, Michigan native suited up for 70 games, recording three goals and three assists.
Dallas Stars forward Luke Glendening (lower body) is a game-time decision for Sunday's Game 7 against the Flames. He got injured In Game 6 when he took a hit from Calgary defenseman Nikita Zadorov and played only 4:20. Glendening carries very little fantasy value, but he's an important member of the Stars squad. The 33-year-old played in all 82 regular-season games and won 58.7 percent of his faceoffs. Glendening will likely continue to skate on the fourth line with Joel Kiviranta and Radek Faksa if he is able to play.
Dallas Stars forwards Joel Kiviranta and Luke Glendening will skate with Tyler Seguin in Friday's home opener versus the Kings. Head coach Rick Bowness started the season with all of his big guns together on the same line, but Alexander Radulov will now join Roope Hintz and Jacob Peterson, while Jamie Benn gets to play center between Tanner Kero and Denis Gurianov. The Stars have averaged just 1.75 goals per game so far and something clearly needed to be done. Kiviranta demonstrated some good chemistry with Seguin in the 2020 playoffs and should have a nice ride on his left wing. Glendening has been a depth forward throughout his career and hasn't done much offensively, sitting on 127 points in 558 career games. The Stars attack is still without Jason Robertson (upper body) and Blake Comeau (upper body) on Friday, while John Klingberg (lower body) is missing from the blue line.
Detroit Red Wings forward Luke Glendening was responsible for both of the team's goals in Monday's 3-2 shootout loss against Dallas, tying things up twice in the second period. Alex Biega registered assists on both goals. Robby Fabbri (upper body) missed an eighth straight game and Jakub Vrana (illness) was out, so Detroit needed somebody to step up on the offensive front and Glendening managed to do it. He was on only three goals for the season ahead of the contest, so don't expect the veteran to repeat the feat anytime soon. Glendening boasts 14 points for the year with 58 shots, 57 hits and 45 blocks in 45 games.
