Macklin Celebrini Makes History During Multi-Point Performance

San Joe Sharks center Macklin Celebrini led his team to a 3-1 victory over the Boston Bruins on Sunday night, tallying a goal and an assist. Celebrini passed Patrick Marleau (6) for the most game-winning goals by a Sharks teenager when he lit the lamp on the power play in the second period. The 19-year-old now also holds the franchise record for most five-game point streaks by a teenager (3). This month, Celebrini has finished a game without a point only two times, racking up eight goals and nine assists in 12 outings. The young Sharks star continues to be one of the league's most productive players, with only Colorado's Nathan MacKinnon having more points than him. Celebrini has amassed 34 points (14 goals, 20 assists) in 23 games.

Macklin Celebrini Pots Hat Trick in Tuesday's Win

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini took the team on his back and carried them to a 3-2 overtime victory on Tuesday night against the Utah Mammoth. Celebrini is having a monster sophomore year, already boasting nearly half of the 63 points he had during his rookie campaign. After 20 outings, Celebrini has managed 13 goals and 17 assists. Former MVP Nathan MacKinnon (33) is currently the only player in the league with more points than Celebrini (30).

Macklin Celebrini Leads Sharks Past Kraken

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini scored the opening goal and provided two assists in Wednesday's 6-1 road victory over the Seattle Kraken. Celebrini became only the sixth teenager in NHL history to record 20 points in a season in 14 games or fewer. He has managed 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists) so far during the campaign, taking his productivity to an entirely new level. In the last nine games, Celebrini has been held scoreless only once, and this stretch includes a standout five-point performance. San Jose will finish the week with tough matchups against Winnipeg and Florida, but given his current form, Celebrini seems capable of dominating any team.

Macklin Celebrini Has Multi-Point Outing Friday

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini contributed a goal and an assist during Friday's 6-3 loss to the Utah Mammoth. In the second period, Celebrini's work helped Jeff Skinner get his third goal of the season, and San Jose's 19-year-old star scored a power-play goal late in the game. Celebrini recorded his 18th career multi-point game and now trails only Jeff Friesen (20) among the Sharks' teenagers. Two of Celebrini's multi-point efforts have been this season. It's been an inconsistent start for the top pick of the 2024 draft, as Celebrini has tallied all of his five points across two games, totaling one goal and four assists.

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini (illness) has been cleared for action and will join the lineup for Saturday's preseason finale against the Utah Mammoth. It's good to see that the exciting forward has overcome his health issues and is ready to play. Celebrini is set to center a line with Will Smith and Philipp Kurashev in Saturday's game. Now that he's back in the lineup, it's safe to assume that Celebrini will also be ready for opening night against the Vegas Golden Knights on Oct. 9.

Following a bout with an illness, Celebrini has been practicing on an individual program. On Sunday, Celebrini told reporters that he wants to get at least one preseason game under his belt. Macklin Celebrini Rejoins Practice Tuesday

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini (illness) returned to practice on Tuesday, Curtis Pashelka of the Mercury News reports. He missed a few days of training camp due to illness. Celebrini skated with Jeff Skinner and Will Smith, just like he did at the start of camp. With five preseason games remaining, Celebrini should have plenty of opportunities to build chemistry with his new line. San Jose's young star hopes to avoid a sophomore slump in 2025-26 after notching 63 points (25 goals, 38 assists) in 70 games during his rookie NHL season.

Macklin Celebrini Battling an Illness

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini (illness) left Thursday's practice early because he wasn't feeling well, according to general manager Mike Grier. Since training camp has just begun, there is no need for Celebrini to push through practice sessions if he's not feeling 100 percent. He might need a few days to recover but should return to work soon. Celebrini narrowly missed being a point-per-game player during his rookie year, finishing last season with 25 goals and 38 assists in 70 games. The 19-year-old will hope to avoid a sophomore slump in 2025-26.

Additionally, he is now one of only six 18-year-olds in NHL history with a five-point game. Celebrini has nailed down a place on the first line, pacing the Sharks with 44 points (18 goals, 26 assists) in 49 games. Despite the team's eight-game losing streak, Celebrini has stayed productive, scoring two goals and providing six assists during this stretch.

Macklin Celebrini Records First Career Three-Point Game

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini put together his first career three-point game in Monday's 7-2 win against Los Angeles. He reached the milestone with a pair of goals and an assist. Celebrini, who scored his second goal of the night on the power play, became only the second teenager in Sharks history to total three points in a single game, joining the legendary Patrick Marleau. A hip injury delivered an early blow for Celebrin's rookie campaign, but he's starting to make noise, with five points picked up in three games. Despite missing 12 games, Celebrini sits fifth in scoring among first-year players with 10 points (six goals, four assists) in 12 outings.

Macklin Celebrini Tallies Two Assists In Thursday's Loss

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini registered two assists in Thursday's 3-2 shootout loss against St. Louis. Celebrini's work on the power play helped Alex Wennberg to tie the score at one in the first period, and his second assist came with just nine seconds left in regulation as Wennberg scored again. Mikael Granlund also had an assist on both plays. Celebrini sits on seven points (four goals, three assists) through his first 10 career games. Only Tomas Hertl (10) has recorded more points in his first 10 games for San Jose as a teenager. Celebrini has done well, but his consistency needs work, as most of his scoring has come from three multi-point games.

Macklin Celebrini Ready To Return On Tuesday

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini (hip) has told reporters he will return to the lineup on Tuesday versus Columbus. The teenage sensation hurt his hip in San Jose's season opener. The injury is an early blow for Celebrini's rookie campaign, but he should still have a good shot at winning the rookie scoring race. In his debut, Celebrini posted one goal and one assist. He joined Tyler Toffoli and Mikael Granlund on the first line Monday, and Celebrini should get a lot of power-play usage once he's back in the lineup.

Macklin Celebrini To Miss At Least Two More Weeks

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini (lower body) will be out for at least two more weeks. Celebrini enjoyed a multi-point debut on opening night against St. Louis on Oct. 10 but has been out since then, missing five contests. He's set to sit out seven more games until the team re-evaluates him in early November. Mikael Granlund will continue to fill first-line center duties until Celebrini is back. He has notched six assists in six games with 18 shots this season. Alex Wennberg is currently deployed at center on the second line, but he has yet to register any points, despite also seeing time on the first power-play unit.

Macklin Celebrini Placed On Injured Reserve

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini (lower body) has been placed on Injured Reserve. He is considered week-to-week after reportedly playing through a hip injury in the season opener. Celebrini shined with two points in his NHL debut on Thursday versus St. Louis but will now have to sit out at least two games. His first opportunity to return comes on Thursday versus Chicago. Until then, fantasy managers should expect to see Mikael Granlund center San Jose's first line. Meanwhile, Klim Kostin will fill the open spot in the top six and join the second line for Saturday's game against Anaheim.

Macklin Celebrini Nursing A Lower-Body Injury

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini is being evaluated for a lower-body injury. The top pick of this year's draft battled a lower-body injury during preseason but was able to make his NHL debut on Thursday night against St. Louis. Celebrini tallied a goal and assist while logging 17:35 of ice time. However, he missed practice on Friday and is now doubtful for Saturday's clash versus Anaheim. Mikael Granlund took over the first-line center spot in Friday's practice and could remain in the role for Saturday's game. Granlund would have extra fantasy value as a top-line center. He led the Sharks in scoring last season and kicked off the 2024-25 campaign with a power-play assist in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss.

Macklin Celebrini Notches Two Points In NHL Debut

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini enjoyed a prolific NHL debut on Thursday, picking up two points in a 5-4 overtime loss to St. Louis. He opened the scoring with seven minutes played and tallied an assist on a Tyler Toffoli goal near the end of the first period. At 18 years and 119 days old, Celebrini became the third-youngest player in NHL history with a multi-point outing in his debut. Celebrini logged 17:35 of ice time, with 1:44 of it coming on the power play, and finished with an even rating while firing off two shots on goal. It was the perfect start to Celebrini's NHL career, but tougher challenges are definitely up ahead for him.

Macklin Celebrini Expected To Play In Season Opener

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini (lower body) will play in Thursday's season opener against St. Louis, head coach Ryan Warsofsky has confirmed. Celebrini sustained a lower-body injury in a preseason game at the start of the month and has been out of action because of it. However, he will be good to go for his debut on Thursday. The 18-year-old will pick up first-line center duties. Tyler Toffoli and William Eklund skated alongside him in Monday's practice, and it's likely the trio will stick together for Thursday's contest against a Blues team that allowed 3.02 goals per game last season and won't have Torey Krug (ankle) available in defense.

Macklin Celebrini To Miss Saturday's Action

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini (lower body) will not play in Saturday's preseason finale against the Vegas Golden Knights. The rookie phenom has battled a lower-body injury this week after getting hurt in a meeting with Utah on Tuesday. There's still some time left for Celebrini to get healthy for the season opener, as San Jose won't be in action until Thursday. Celebrini is considered a Calder Trophy favorite this season, along with Philadelphia forward Matvei Michkov. Assuming he doesn't run into serious health problems, Celebrini should have no issues getting around the 60-point mark.

Macklin Celebrini Considered Day-To-Day

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini (lower body) has been listed as day-to-day. The first pick of this year's draft suffered a lower-body injury in a preseason game against Utah on Tuesday. Luckily, it appears that Celebrini dodged a serious issue, and he isn't expected to be out for long. Celebrini could be done for the rest of the preseason, but he should not have any issues getting healthy for the team's regular-season opener, which is scheduled against St. Louis on Oct. 10. The 18-year-old will add a lot of excitement and quality to the Sharks team and looks poised for a productive rookie campaign.
