Adam Gaudette Unavailable Wednesday

San Jose Sharks forward Adam Gaudette (lower body) will miss Wednesday's clash against the Minnesota Wild, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports. He is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury. The team has brought up Pavol Regenda from the minors as Gaudette's likely replacement in the lineup. Although Gaudette hasn't been a factor in fantasy hockey, he has played well as a bottom-six forward for the Sharks, recording 14 points (eight goals, six assists) and 32 hits in 33 games. The 29-year-old has contributed offensively in each of his last three appearances. Regenda has seen action in two NHL contests this season, scoring a power-play goal in both.

Adam Gaudette Iffy for Monday

San Jose Sharks forward Adam Gaudette (illness) is considered questionable for Monday's matchup against the Utah Mammoth. He is battling an illness and could join fellow forwards Michael Misa (lower body) and Jeff Skinner (lower body) on the sidelines. Gaudette is tied for fourth on his squad with six goals and has managed eight points in 22 games. He had points in back-to-back games to wrap up November. Collin Graf or Philipp Kurashev could move to the second line if Gaudette is ruled out on Monday. Kurashev has been a more productive player of the two and is a better fantasy option.

Adam Gaudette Available Against Kraken

San Jose Sharks forward Adam Gaudette (upper body) will re-enter the lineup for Wednesday's tilt against the Seattle Kraken. He has missed four games while dealing with an upper-body injury. This season, Gaudette has notched three goals and one assist in nine appearances. San Jose faces a tricky matchup on Wednesday, as Seattle typically doesn't allow many goals. However, Gaudette still has the potential to make an impact in the game by teaming up with the in-form Philipp Kurashev and Alexander Wennberg on the second line. The duo has scored a combined 13 points (six goals, seven assists) over the past five games.

Adam Gaudette Could Miss Time

San Jose Sharks forward Adam Gaudette (upper body) could be out for more than day-to-day, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports. Gaudette sustained an upper-body injury on Sunday versus the Minnesota Wild and will miss his first game of the season on Tuesday when the Sharks face the Los Angeles Kings. Even though Gaudette has averaged less than 11 minutes of ice time, he has made a notable impact in his nine appearances this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist. Jeff Skinner, who was a healthy scratch on Sunday, will take Gaudette's place in the Sharks lineup against the Kings. Skinner averaged a point per game in the first four contests of the season, but he hasn't added any to his tally since then.

Adam Gaudette Extends Contract With Chicago

Forward Adam Gaudette signed a contract extension with the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday. The 24-year-old inked a one-year $997,500 contract for the 2021-2022 season. Gaudette spent most of last season with Vancouver before being traded to Chicago for Matthew Highmore. He collected five goals and six assists in 40 regular-season contests averaging just over 11:00 minutes per game. Unless the Blackhawks have bigger plans for Gaudette next season, don't expect the forward to be taken by many fantasy managers once the season begins in October.
