Igor Chernyshov a Game-Time Call Wednesday

San Jose Sharks winger Igor Chernyshov (illness) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's meeting with the Anaheim Ducks. The 20-year-old is feeling under the weather and might vacate a spot on San Jose's first line. Chernyshov has managed 14 points (five goals, nine assists) through his first 20 career games. However, he has been on the score sheet just four times in his last 13 outings. Ty Dellandrea (lower body) was activated from Injured Reserve on Wednesday and will draw into the lineup if Chernyshov isn't ready to play.

Igor Chernyshov Returns to Sharks Lineup

San Jose Sharks winger Igor Chernyshov (concussion) will suit up on Tuesday against the Nashville Predators, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports. The 20-year-old has missed four games due to a concussion. Chernyshov was red-hot in his first few career appearances and has totaled 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 16 games. On Tuesday, he will get a great chance to break his recent offensive slump, as Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky has decided to pair Chernyshov with Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith on the first line. He will also skate on the second power-play unit.

Igor Chernyshov Exits Early Due to Injury Saturday

San Jose Sharks winger Igor Chernyshov (upper body) was limited to 28 seconds of ice time in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens. He was injured after a high hit from Canadiens defenseman Mike Matheson. The 20-year-old Russian rookie fell hard and struggled to get up. He needed assistance to leave the ice and was taken to the hospital. Chernyshov has made a positive impression in his first 16 career games, recording three goals and eight assists. He is traveling with the team for Sunday's matchup with the Ottawa Senators, but it seems likely that Chernyshov will sit out the game. Philipp Kurashev and Ryan Reaves are the candidates to replace him in the lineup.
